Although the design of the hotel is relatively simple and old, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a bus nearby to go to Karato Market the next day👍🏻I appreciate the friendly attitude of the front counter staff, who also tried their best to communicate with us in English and a translator. Thank you for your hospitality😊

In circumstances. This hotel is excellent for breakfast and cost-effective enough to stay for another day in a row. There was no food nearby than I thought, so it was a little rough.

GGuest UserIchinomata Onsen Grand Hotel offers a serene and rejuvenating experience. Set in a beautiful location, it features traditional Japanese architecture and onsen (hot spring) facilities that provide a perfect way to relax. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, often with stunning views of the surrounding nature. Guests can enjoy delicious local cuisine, and the staff is known for their warm hospitality. It's an excellent choice for those looking to unwind and immerse themselves in Japanese culture. Whether you're traveling for leisure or a romantic getaway, Ichinomata Onsen Grand Hotel is a wonderful destination!
코코포님I am a Korean who visited with my son. The hotel is clean, well located, and the Korean-speaking male staff member was very kind to me, which made it even more convenient to stay at the hotel. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff member again and plan to stay at this hotel again.
PPhittikThe hotel is located really close to Shimonoseki station. The room is clean. The front desk staffs both night shift and morning shift are friendly. I arrived the hotel around 10PM so there weren’t many restaurants that still open at that hour. I had to walk a bit far for a convenient store. But I really enjoyed spending the night there!
GGuest UserThis is not the Hotel in the photo added. The hotel is a reasonable Japanese style business hotel. The staff were very kind and friendly and tried to help us with the booking problem cause by Trip.com. The booking agency (Trip.com) had booked us as 6 guests and charged us accordingly. We were 4 adults and one child and were overcharged by Trip.com by 1/3 of the price (about 10,000 yen). The hotel staff were helpful but they couldn't do anything as this was a mistake by the agents not the hotel. I will be contacting Trip.com to ask for a refund of the amount they charged us in error.
GGuest UserValue for money. Highly recommended. Will stay again.
The room is large for us to open and pack our luggage in preparing to depart airport the next day.
The room facilities are convenient (without stairs) to suit my usage as a person with walking difficulties.
I especially love the ensuite onsen bath with beautiful ocean view.
The dinner and breakfast are delicious.
11人旅まーちゃんThe staff was kind and comfortable! The toilet and bath were separated and the room was beautiful. It was like a room living alone.
I didn't enjoy the scenery because it wasn't on the sea side, but the location is great because it is convenient to be close to the Karato market.
I thought it would be helpful if there was makeup remover and lotion.
CCurious TravellerUnbeatable location with many rooms ( or all rooms) and public spaces facing Tsunoshima Bridge. Our room faced the ocean directly with no obstruction. The bath was also quite decent and the outdoor bath is next to the sea. You can enjoy the sound of the waves while bathing in the hot spa. It should be quite spectacular during sunset. The spa was probably renovated within the last 10 years as it was in good condition.
The room , however, felt old and the corridor was damp. The carpet in the room felt damp and the room felt stuffy. The AC worked well and we turned it on high. Our triple room as spacious but I felt itchy the whole night while sleeping- although the sheets looked clean ( I slept on the added bed). The other two beds looked slumped in the middle.
Bathroom also looked quite old( from the 70’s)?
My room was at the far end wing and there were lots of stairs to walk up and down from the front desk which was on the third floor. The staff will help to bring the luggages to your room ( also at check out - just call).
Hotel restaurant serves dinner buffet . If you are not interested, the hotel also has a list of restaurants nearby with 10-30 minutes drive. We drove out to have yakitori in a small down, which was very local, but with friendly owner, good food- and super cheap price ( each yakitori was about ¥120-150 yen.
Breakfast buffet has both Japanese and western offers, taste was average. Overall service was very good.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very old, perhaps because it is an old building. The tickets are old. Breakfast is free, but only bread and coffee are provided. The counter staff is very friendly. Still, it's okay because it's cheap. I've attached a photo of the breakfast.
