We had a wonderful 1 night stay in shimoda prince hotel, the view was amazing and the food was delicious . A bit old but quiet place to relax

Location is great but the hotel (especially the rooms) is really getting old. I wish they would refurbish and upgrade the hotel rooms and facilities, since it's really in a good location with convenient access to the beach.

I paid almost ¥63000 for one night without meals.we were two adults and a baby. I mean it doesn’t worth that much. Very old hotel no renovations!! Not clean and not neat as professional.
The private beach is quite good but they don’t have a outdoor bar or short-eat place.
I don’t know why they cost this much for one night ! I don’t recommend this hotel because it doesn’t worth the stay.
If we can pay around ¥10000 per person it’s okay.

Hotel is right on the beach. Just have to walk down some steps to the beach. The back door closes at 10 pm which I did not like cause my wife and I were enjoying our time on the back patio drinking some wine but had to go back in hotel cause they lock the only door that let's you go down to the beach and the patio area. Didn't get breakfast or dinner because it didn't look to be worth the amount of money they were charging. Luckily we had our car and was able to drive and explore other food options in town. Customer service was excellent. The front counter Mr. Nguyen provided outstanding service. He even walked us and helped us carry our cooler down to the beach.

There was a system error when making the reservation, and both dinner and breakfast were set as take-out, but when I explained that this was not mentioned in the reservation email, they changed it so that both meals would be eaten in the restaurant.
The staff was very polite, and I was convinced that this is a Prince Hotel after all. I would like to stay here again. I was able to see such a beautiful sunrise. Thank you for your help.
