Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, Shimla

What an amazing stay, loved the hospitality, room, jacuzi and food. Must recommend👌 Thanks to the staff for helping us checking in early and the cake was delicious.

Beautiful property, a bit expensive but worth the penny..!!

Visited Shimla for the first time this year and what a delightful experience it was largely because of this beautiful hotel. The location of the property is about 2500mt above sea level and exceptionally well maintained. Our room overlooked the forest and it was indeed a sight to behold. After a long drive we arrived exhausted at around 7:30pm. We were given the warmest welcome and the most delicious hot apple drink I’ve ever tasted. The front of house staff were absolutely so polite and always willing to assist. The rooms were always cleaned on time and left sparkling every day. One day we ordered room service and it was so well presented sent through in its own warmer oven which we sincerely appreciated since we only finished the meal about 2 hours later. The food at the restaurant is nothing short of spectacular and the outside mountain views are unmatched. I also visited the spa which I would rate a 10/10. The inside heated pool and outside infinity pool are beautiful and certainly deserves a mention. I could go on and on about our wonderful experience at this hotel but words can not do it justice. This is a hotel that truly values its guests and goes above and beyond for them. This was proven when I left behind a novel in our room and called the hotel with the request for them to courier it to our next stop in another city. I didn’t really expect to receive the book but was so grateful when I did at my next hotel. Also a special mention to the four gentlemen that saw us off upon our early morning departure on 19 November. What a lovely gesture that they had arranged a little food and coffee station for us at the front of the hotel. This was truly appreciated and further emphasised the genuine level of care they have for their guests. Having stayed at some of the best hotels in several different countries(including others in the Oberoi chain), this has by far been the best one to date. I only give credit where it is due and I can honestly say I have never seen attention to detail like that we experienced at the Wildflower. Would recommend it 10/10.

This is one of the most discussed property of Oberoi for its location, service and abundance of natural beauty. You can’t go wrong with Oberoi’s when it comes to guest services and there is nothing that I can complaint off. The heated swimming pool,open air jacuzzi even in minus temperature is an experience in itself. An excellent property to get some rest to body and mind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Wildflower. The service from the staff was exceptional, warm and friendly. Our room was beautifully appointed, with an incredibly comfortable bed and terrific shower. The meals in the restaurant were delicious, especially the duck. The breakfast was very enjoyable. Definitely a fabulous place to stay.

This hotel is the best place to stay to experience Shimla. The views and direct walking access to the forest make it a must. Make sure you allow time time relax and enjoy the resort itself. Shimla was the summer capital for the Britishers for a reason. The common areas, pool, spa, outdoor jacuzzi, dinning and forest are at your finger tips. You need to sample them all and you cannot do that in one day. Don't over schedule your stay with outside tours (book the hotel car and guide for the day out). At a minimum, I would suggest 4 nights. Allow 1 day of touring Shimla and 2 days in the resort. Getting to and from Shimla takes time but well worth it. Book a mountain view room or suite, it is worth it to see the sunrise over the Himalayas each morning. There is a free small guided walk in the morning or afternoon in the forest. I really enjoyed being in the forest. Did this walk multiple times. The staff are all amazing. Some examples, we were looking at the mountains at breakfast and the waiter went and without prompting gave us a set of binoculars. One night we thought we would like to have dinner outside but it was a little chilly. The staff said no problem and started a brazier and gave us blankets. We were the only ones dinning outside on the terrace but the staff are so accommodating and helpful. The general manager is excellent. We had meet Sunit on an Oberio Lombok family holiday and were so impressed that we booked the Oberio Exotic Vacations to explore India. So we were not surprised that this Hotel had excellent service and hospitality. Thank you Sunit and your team for an amazing holiday. Lastly the food was next level good. Thank you to the chef!
