Loved the experience and hospitality. Although it was just 1 night but still worth it. Definitely will visit again

Very calm and serene environment. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Food was also excellent. Way to property was not good especially last two kms. Sign boards could be more telling and large in size. Otherwise when you reach there it's five out of five.

It’s truly a serene and secluded mountain retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including the scenic approach road to the cottage and the overall maintenance of the property. The staff was exceptionally warm and attentive, meeting our needs with a smile. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and i will definitely choose this place again for my next visit to the area.

Wood Vista Cottages was by far the best accomodation I had while in India. The road getting down to the property on the mountainside is a bit bumpy. But the seclusion and pristine mountain views are well worth it. The cottages themselves are like something out of a fairy tale, or Swedish tourist ad. I was traveling with my Dad, and both he and I loved sitting out on our porch in the evenings. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to the "Pine Cottage" for no other reason than to be kind. The property also offers personal bonfires in front of your cabins at night, which is a rare, incomparable experience with their delicious food from the restaurant. A communal bonfire is also offered if you want to make friends, but my Dad and I enjoyed our sequestered nookish privacy. My Dad was turning 71, and each of the staff came to wish him happy birthday one by one. They even made a kheer-type cake! In addition, they helped to arrange an excellent cab driver for us for our next trip to **********. Couldn't recommend this place more. Perfect for couples or families seeking a snug getaway from the hectic hustle-bustle and more touristy crowds you might find in Shimla.

I'm traveling chandigarh to shimla bus got missed and hotel person Vikas helped to book cab directly to hotel. food was amazing. and staff are so kind. but biggest challenge is to reach hotel road is not good Due to newly build hotel, so please check with staff to book transport. apart from nice cottage scenic view.

We were just informed that the last 1.5 km was "off-road". So, while the view was good, it was quite disappointing, specially since we had paid ₹10000 per night per room (with only breakfast included), though remote places of this kind usually include dinner. The staff was eager to please but have no training whatsoever. There was only a small area to walk around in, the steps of the chalets were too high for an old woman like me, and the food was nothing to write home about. I would appreciate it if the owners put up a disclaimer that it is not meant for old people, and more importantly, mention their no cancellation policy BEFORE the payment is made. I must mention that when we expressed our disappointment with our stay, we were not charged for dinner, and the driver's stay was not charged either. But that was only AFTER we complained.
