In order to see Shimada where Thomas the Train came to stay, I chose the one closest to the station. The facilities are outdated, the room smells of cigarette smoke, it's too smelly, and there's an ashtray. I could only sleep with the window open one night. The hygiene is almost the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel in Japan. I have never seen anything so bad.
The most annoying thing was that I had to pay extra temporarily, but since I had no other place to go, I had to check in, which cost me 8,650 yen. This translates to more than 1,000 RMB per night! !
