2021.12.30-31 I went with 5 people including my boyfriend and friends. This is my second time, but I went there once before, before the coronavirus. The person at the sushi corner of the buffet was unfriendly, but other than that he was very kind. ︎There is a corner in the bathroom where you can put your towel after using it, and I accidentally put it in there.I wanted to go in the morning too, so I called the front desk and they said they would charge a fee for towels. That's what he said. picture? I've been to many hot springs in the past, but I've never been told that I have to pay for towels. Is this normal now? Isn't this true even for a business hotel? I was a little disappointed. The rice was delicious, but I would have liked more fish for breakfast. This is a deliberate rating because the customer service, baths, and food were good.

Satisfied mentally, satisfied physically Most of the staff were young, but they all had very nice smiles and were very attentive to every detail. Unzen Onsen is my favorite spring quality, and the town itself is a place where steam can be seen floating in the air. This time, I will introduce the ``Open-air bath with a guest room.''It's a spacious room with a view of the steam, as if the guest room is in the open-air bath, and it's one of the best places in the world. The room had a decoration. The food was delicious and made with locally sourced ingredients, and when I told my partner on the internet that he doesn't like meat, they took care of it, so the two of us were able to enjoy the food without having to put up with it. There were various activities, and when my partner came back after participating, he seemed to be having a lot of fun and talked about it a lot. I realized that it was a lot of fun. After it opened, I had a hard time getting a reservation for this place, so I was finally able to stay there. Kai, I always enjoy my time to the fullest from check-in to check-out. As always, this time I was able to leave feeling particularly satisfied both mentally and physically. My partner and I have said that we have no complaints at all. Thank you very much for making this a really good trip.

I was as little apprehensive staying here given the poor ratings, but I couldn't have been happier. Staff were friendly, and made an effort, although only 1 reception girl spoke any English. I had a Japanese style room overlooking the lake. It was massive, and very comfortable. The only issue was that the windows weren't double glazed, and it was freezing outside (-8c overnight), and the sitting area got extremely cold. I guess it doesn't normally get this cold though. The room was warm with the sliding doors closed. The onsen were perfectly acceptable. The rooftop one was great in the snow! I had half board. The food options were extensive at both breakfast and dinner. If you don't eat Japanese food the choice will be quite limited though. Good selection of free drinks, and decent selection of paid for alcoholic drinks. There's loads of common areas and places to relax. A previous commenter mentioned the long corridors, which is true, the wrong room can mean long walks to the onsen and restaurant. Overall, 5*. But remember this is a JAPANESE hotel, catering to domestic tourists, so don't expect an international style hotel!

This time? Then, go to a hot spring inn. I made it ”Seiunso” with a good reputation for word of mouth. As a result, it was a great success! I was able to spend a fulfilling time in a waste of one night. The room was a bed, but comfortable as a wide 々. All the meals were delicious, including Nagasaki Wagyu beef. Breakfast was gorgeous and I replaced it many times. It was good that there was a pigeon, a local dish in Nagasaki. And after all, the bath was good! It was a pity that the large communal bath and the open air were completely different, but both were able to take a leisurely bath as wide 々. Especially while soaking in Tsuboyu, the time to watch the starry sky was very luxurious, and I wanted time to stop. It has become my favorite inn!

Stayed in a suite room. The view from the room is good and you can enjoy your meal while looking at this view. To be honest, the taste of the food is average, but it is full of ideas, such as putting blue agar on a large plate to represent the pond in front of you, and each dish on top represents a bird. . The quality of the bath was very good, and it was very comfortable to be in. The staff was polite and I was able to stay very comfortably. We think that price is low.

We stayed at Iseya a whole week while visiting my partner’s son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a nearby town. We have stayed in Obama previously for the same reason, and the town was just as nice as we remembered. But this was the first time we had stayed at Iseya, and we are so glad we did. The ryokan has been there for centuries but was rebuilt in 2019 and now has all the modern comforts. The in-room private onsen is fantastic, real geothermal spring water, and really hot. The views and sunsets over Tachibana bay are great and we enjoyed watching the local older people play “grand golf” on the town playing field opposite the hotel (with the bay behind) every morning at 7 am. But it is the staff who really make the place special, so friendly, despite our very poor Japanese, and several speak good English. We really felt welcome, despite being the only foreigners staying there on most days. The breakfasts are fantastic, no need for lunch, and different every day. We ate there just one night and the meal was equally good. The housekeeping was immaculate. Overall highly recommended, and although not cheap, not vastly expensive either and definitely good value.

Clean rooms, friendly staffs. Would preferred to have a water heater in the room but instead they gave a flask of hot water. Dinner food is not quite up to standard as per other ryokan. Side dishes is buffet style. Can go for the free flow sake. Breakfast seems to be a better spread. There are better restaurants along the coasts. Do check your bus and train timing before moving out.

I stayed 2 at the end of the year. It was my first stay, but I wanted to relax and stay again. The hotel is over 9 floor, but the glass is often used and the view is bright everywhere. Creation that I have never seen before. A mechanism that cannot be put in the room key in the lodging zone. The building is a corridor style, overlooking the garden and chapel on the 9 floor, but it is lit up at night and this is beautiful again. The rooms are a bit vertical, but I was able to spend calmly. I liked my wife very much. The public bath is also like a fashionable and splendid hot spring hotel. Maybe more. There was a drum coin laundry next to the entrance of the public bath, and it was convenient for consecutive nights. Breakfast was a buffet, but the buffet on New Year's Day is a great word. When I arrived at the entrance with the service of the soup and arrived at the seat, the miscellaneous boiling was carried first. The soup was very delicious. In addition to the usual buffet, there were special dishes for New Year's Day, but there were many fresh sashimi, kazukono, shrimp, etc. There was red rice in rice. All were delicious and ate a lot. I went by car, but I went directly from the underground parking lot to the front floor and the parking fee was very good. Moreover, I think it is the best value for money in a hotel in Kumamoto City with a 24-hour parking setting. My wife started saving money because she wanted to go to the end of this year.

Stayed 4-nights whilst using Kumamoto as a base for day trips by train to Amakusi-Misumi, Aso-Miyaji, Nagasaki and Beppu. The Toyoko Inn is therefore ideal being within 200m of the entrance to Kumamoto Station and for getting about Kumamoto, the main stop for the Kumamoto Shiden (Tram) is right outside the hotel. As I had an early start each day I didn't get to try the free breakfast included in the room rate and arriving back late each evening, the food court on the 7th floor of the Amu Plaza adjacent to the Station proved really convenient (open until 10 ~ 11pm). Budget-priced hotels in Japan tend to provide small but well-eqipped rooms and Toyoko Inn is no exception. I opted for the cheaper room rate whereby your room isn't serviced daily, only fresh towels provided; even better value-for-money.

This hotel is located within a short walking distance from the Kumamoto station. From the JR bstation exit it is on the left, just beside the Bic Camera store next. There is also a streetcar/tram stop so near the hotel which you can use to explore the city touristy spots! Shopping is convenient as the Kumamoto AMU Plaza (see another Review) is 5-mins walk away. The lobby is quite spacious and I quite like the intimate setting and lighting. Check-in was fast and 3 lifts serve well with travellers + luggages. The room design is quite standard and we have requested for x2 single bed, the room size is respectable. Noted that they're still using the physical hard key and not the keycard type. Hottel provided some amenities and complimentary bottled water in the room, sufficient for us . The Hotel is very into Going Green, there will be no housekeeping within first 3-days unless requested upon. This may likely be the model moving forward, to cut wastages. We had our breakfast at the nearby Pronto. The Kitaoka Shrine is just about 400 metres nearby, opposite direction of JR station so we recommend to drop by if time permits. A good stay experience. J

GGuest UserFacing the sea, it is a traditional Japanese homestay run by a few grandmas. The room is traditional tatami and futon. The grandmas are friendly, and the breakfast is a traditional Japanese breakfast, salt-grilled salmon, miso soup, rice, tamagoyaki and pickles. Next to the bus station, the transportation is convenient. There are no separate bathrooms, there are public baths and baths. In short, it is a good review and a very authentic experience.
It is one of the best hotels in Shimabara. Despite the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the size of the rooms are impeccable, the price is reasonable. All of the rooms in the main building of the hotel face the Ariake Sea, so you can enjoy the wonderful sunrise sea view. The hotel's main building and new building have shared Onsen. You can enjoy various types of Onsen. However, there are few restaurants around the hotel. Even if they are, they are far from the hotel or in places that are difficult for first-time visitors. Under such circumstances, the restaurant attached to the hotel is always crowded. If you use the restaurant, you should check the available times without waiting. If you have a portable Wi-Fi router, you will have to worry that it is hard to use or not available at all in the building. Although there is free Wi-Fi service at this hotel, it cannot be guaranteed the speed and security of communication because it is shared by guests. Onsen is not so large compared to the number of people who can stay. In particular, it will be very crowded from 22:00 to 23:00 just before Onsen service ends. If you use it, you should avoid that time.
GGuest UserDue to the typhoon, the hotel I was planning to be temporarily closed and I was in a hurry to use it. It was a hotel specialized in children, but the service was perfect. Alcohol such as beer is free, not to mention coffee and juice, in the lobby. Bring your room OK. The bath is also a powerful open-air bath where the sea approaches that much. This day is especially dynamic with a storm. Free service such as ice cream, coffee, jelly, etc. was also available in the open-air bath. The evening kaiseki was also taken home, and the morning buffet was also prepared at the entrance of the restaurant with a set of take-out containers. On the way home, he also said, ”Did you have any trouble?” I sent my luggage from the hotel to my home, but he reinforced the cardboard firmly. Because of the typhoon, the schedule was greatly crazy, but the 1 day at Nanfeng Tower was the greatest satisfaction in the trip (about 100 times) so far.
SSumioS5The room is clean. The goodness that is not a normal business hotel is that the size of the bed in the twin room is semi double. You can sleep relaxing. Next, there is a door, not only the bus is partitioned by the shower curtain, but it is also a normal bath. The staff is good. It is good as a business hotel.
GGuest UserBut what a beautiful surprise!!! We had some doubt about the parking, but once we arrived we quietly parked from the 1-7 parking places next to the hotel. Well in line with the mega rooms of the American motel.Decoration a little old style, but everything very clean and very friendly and available staff. Well located inside the city, and near a supermarket very provided for take away. Excellent price quality ratio. Super super recommended!!
HHUIThe breakfast is rich and delicious, with Japanese food and Western style. The hotel is actually a bit away from Shimabara Station, but it can't be reached within ten minutes. There are multiple buses in front of the door, which can reach Shimabara Port to Kumamoto, or directly to Unzen Hot Spring. The hotel room is facing Shimabara Castle, with a wide view of the scenery. It’s not far from the martial arts house. Go out and turn right a few steps to the home of the three Shiba Inu brothers. One more walk is Liyu Street. In short, the price is better.
GGuest UserA business hotel located diagonally in front of Shimabara City Hall, a 2-3 minute walk from Shimabara Station. Parking is available around the hotel. Breakfast consisted of bento boxes, instant miso soup, and furikake. The room was relatively clean and not very large, so it was a so-called business hotel. I didn't enter the public bath, which is a men's and women's time system. The service at the front desk was normal and the amenities were normal. The location is good, but is it like a business hotel with no features? There was a station hotel within a few minutes walk.
