The location was the best!
The weather was good and the sea looked beautiful.
The only disappointments were that the bath was lukewarm and there was no sauna. The portion of dinner was small for my husband.

It is and has aged, admittedly, but very gracefully. It has character, starting from a generous 32+ sqm room with a superb view out into the sea, solid wood furniture, an excellent public bath on floor one, very comfortable "viewing areas" to appreciate sunsets or read a book at the higher floors, a tasty breakfast (Japanese) in the morning plus some good coffee for those who can`t live without it. We chose the "Day trip bathing plan with lunch for two" from the gift catalogue. Apparently it has been selected as one of the "100 best sunsets in Japan," and the location overlooking the Pacific Ocean is simply amazing! The meal was a course meal using locally produced ingredients, and it was neither good nor bad, just average. But the meal while looking at the ocean view was amazing. We had a luxurious bath time in a private setting before the guests checked in. The large public bath was heated and at a comfortable temperature, but the water in the open-air natural hot spring bath was lukewarm, and the "tsubo tub" in particular felt cold, which was disappointing.

Since it was a weekday, we had the large public bath to ourselves, so we were able to relax. The outdoor bath I was looking forward to was a shame because the temperature was low and the view was amazing! There were big centipedes around the bath. I wonder if it's okay to be bitten by them since there are a lot of elderly people there? The lobby is empty during meal times. The front desk lady has no hospitality at all. The smell of the room is also old, but it feels like they need to be cared for a little more.
