Very conveniently located in a residential area with markets, restaurants and even a hospital at 5-6 minutes walking distance. Rooms are neat and clean. All basic amenities are provided. Staffs are very polite and took extra effort to attend our additional needs. Also breakfast served was very delicious. Overall a delightful experience staying at cassiopeia guest house. Would like to visit again

Their knowledge of the area and willingness to go the extra mile in accommodating my requests was greatly appreciated. check out and concierge service was perfect. Mr. PAVAN (Restaurent /F&b Manager) took out time to interact with me at length. He explained so many nuances and things going on behind scenes to make restaurants run smoothly and how each guest is different and their taste buds and preferences are unique and how his team handles each of them very carefully and with heart .His professionalism and genuine care for dining experience did not go unnoticed. Mr.RAJEEV was wonderful chef and human being and as I have very long list of intolerances, health condition they considered all of them and cooked special meals for me and taking care of my health during this solo travel. My further travel completely depended on this particular trip and they ensured it was absolutely perfect as I required. He even got me special food packed for flight . Location is the best just in a bylane in police bazar stone throw distance from the market. Front desk was very cordial specially suffer they helped us through out our stay. Rooms were very small but very clean with clean toilet and necessary toilateries and warm water. Breakfast was awesome with options for pancakes puri bhagi lots of seasonal fruits juices and veg cutlets. Eggs. They have a small parking I would love to recommend it to anyone who loves a clean hotel near market

The hotel should be a famous hotel in the local area! However, it is incomparable with the domestic 4 star hotel. The first hotel is relatively old, and the second hotel's supplies are relatively inferior. Only the staff are still pretty good, attitude is good, only live for one day, so in addition to feeling expensive, feeling worthwhile, the mood is not too bad! One night of transition, nothing to worry about!

The resort Roinam retreat is a decent place to stay for a larger group. Pros: a. Resort arrangement b. Food c. Rooms cleanliness. Everyday it is cleant and our belongings are safe and secure. d. Front office (Miss Priya and team is very friendly and approachable) . We had a medical emergency one night and the front office team did not hesitate to help us to their best. They accompanied us to the nearby hospital - Hats-off Cons Location - its a bit interior and vey little access to any shops, but on the other hand it gives a very calm and near to nature atmosphere Food - We were veg group so not many options Breakfast - The menu is standard and repeats alternate days. No options at all Food area - Reception and food area is the same so felt very cramped. Power fluctuation - Although they have generator backup, during metered power the voltage falls low even the fan finds it difficult to run.

GguruprasadhnOrange Homestay is an excellent accommodation and is above Frank motors (Tata motors dealer). The rooms are spacious and very clean. The terrace is awesome as they have many flowering plants which are blooming. The food is also good but at times the wait time is more. The staff are very helpful and service oriented. They don't expect Tips. Very polite and well mannered. Breakfast options are limited but serving is generous and unlimited. There is only 1 chef and he arrives around 7 am. So the earliest you can expect the Breakfast is at 7:30 am. It would be either of Poori or Bhature or Aloo Paratha ***** with bread toast and bread sandwich. Whatever they cook is tasty. Coming to the drawbacks. 1) No lift. If you get room at 3rd floor then it will be difficult for elderly 2) The accommodation is on Laitmor/Mawblei main road which is always busy and very noisy. Sleeping in the night will be slightly difficult due to the vehicles making noise. 3) Very far away from Police bazaar. You need at least 1 hour by car to reach police bazaar though the distance is only 6 kms. Shillong traffic is pathetic. Taxi guys fleece you. It costed us 400 to come from Police Bazar to Orange homestay. There is no car parking as well at Police bazaar. So if you are keen to spend time on shopping then Orange homestay may not be the right place. We stayed in room 111 at 3rd floor and the room is massive in size. Very thoughtfully stocked with hot packs, geyser, Air conditioning which can also double up as heater, extra blankets etc.

GGuest UserWe were a group and we booked the suite. It is a huge room with 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. 5 people can comfortably stay there and it also has 2 private balconies. The first night was terrible for us as in such a huge room there was just one small wall fan and hence we had to open the windows which resulted in a swarm of mosquitos coming in as it faces the lawn. As it is zostel, there was no service at night and the next morning we raised a complaint to the ***ager. He was the most helpful ***ager I have ever seen. He got everything done within hours and post that our stay was pleasant and so wonderful that we also extended for 2 more nights. The entire staff is very accomodating, good to talk to and soft spoken. The food at the restaurant is delicious and they also cater to individual needs. The only drawback is that they are extremely slow. If the cafe is full, do not expect your order to be served for an hour. Morning breakfast times, we would give the order, go to the room.. have a bath and get ready and still the order would not have been prepared.. Coffees and drinks are given in a jiffy.. But nevertheless, they also catered to serve us at late hours by keeping the food ready for us even after the restaurant shut down. Overall, it is a wonderful stay.. There are some hiccups (which all hostels have unless you opt for a 5 star hotel) but the best part is they listen to your grievances and act immediately. A big kudos to Santosh - without his help, we would have been in a terrible soup.. He definitely deserves a raise.. Thank You Santosh for everything!

GGuest UserI booked a room in this hotel through a reference but my experience was not good. My reasons are listed below. 1: The hotel ran out of water in the morning. This has never happened with since I habe started yravelling for business for the past 22 years. When you charge close to 4K, then you should ensure the basics like water supply and electricity. 2: I was also kept waiting for 45 minutes for black color water. I finally bought mineral water bottles for brushing etc. After a long wait they p4oduced a clean bucket full.of water. This entire experience pushed us 90 minutes behind schedule. 3: For breakfast we had to order rather than serve our selves . This service was extremely slow. This is not expected specially at 9am. The hotel should be prepared for serving guests at 7 am. 4: Check out process was slow. No wonder what will happen if there are 10 guests at a time. 5: The 2 stars are for the comfortable bed.
