New 5 star hotel in police Bazaar.

The hotel is centrally located but can be slightly difficult to locate because Police Bazaar has become awfully crowded. While room tariff is more or less par for the course for a fivestarhotel, it's still good value by shillong standards. Lobby is nice and spacious, and the rooms are well designed and airy. The staff shine with their affable manners and I would particularly like to mention Daiyid (if I got the name correctly) in the breakfast desk and Kelly at the front office who gave us a memorable send off. Food is good and very reasonably priced. All in all, this is the best hotel we have patronized in Shillong so far.

We had a wonderful stay at Marriott Shillong! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city and close to all the main markets. The staff were polite and thoughtful, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job. We had a room with beautiful views, and the buffet spread was amazing every day, with a great mix of local and continental dishes. A special touch we really appreciated was the live flute performance during breakfast—such a peaceful start to the day. A huge shoutout to Ban, our driver throughout the trip! He’s not just great at what he does—he’s lively, kind, and genuinely made our sightseeing experience so much more fun and memorable. He drove safely, chose scenic routes, took care of my motion sickness, and clicked some of the best photos and videos for us and even bought us Khasi good to try, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. We are so grateful to him for making our trip so memorable. The only downside we experienced was that the restaurant's cleanliness could definitely be improved. We noticed the crumbs were often wiped off the table directly onto the chairs, and we had to request proper cleaning every day, which was disappointing for a Marriott property. That aside, it was an overall amazing experience, and we’d definitely recommend staying here especially if you’re lucky enough to have Ban as your local host!

Best of Meghalaya, very nice and modern hotel. Excellent rooms and great service. Was a pleasure to stay there and enjoy the travel around shillong using this as a base. Kelly and her team are excellent. Warm and welcoming and efficient. Restaurant is good but can do with a little improvement. Staff is smiling gentle and ever ready.
