Very nice property with great food and caring staff. It’s Taj and they want give you opportunity to complain. They are so caring and no words can explain about their hospitality. Hotel rooms are ultra clean and with great restaurant experience.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Phibadondor at the reception was very helpful with all our queries and made an effort to explain the living root bridge model kept at the hotel, explain the different tribes of Shillong, showed us the rooms before allotting them to us and made us comfortable. She was well informed of the local tourist spots and helped us. Hilter helped us with all our general queries. Rajesh and Prerna in the restaurant were very helpful at the restaurant. The service and food are good.

The service provided was appreciable. The food was also delicious. However, the rooms need to be properly ventilated. I found frequently disconnection of wifi. I will definitely recommend to try buffet and breakfast. All items are just awesome.

I recently stayed at Vivanta, Shillong with my family for a night, checking in on May 13th and checking out on May 14th. Upon arrival at around 9 AM, I was asked to pay a 25% early check-in fee despite the room being available. Having stayed at several Taj properties across India, I’ve never encountered this charge—typically, if the room is vacant, it is handed over without extra cost. That's the reason I checked out early and moved to another better property "Marriott" For comparison, I spent the following night at Marriott, Shillong, and the difference was striking. From service quality to buffet spread, no early check-in charges, infrastructure, and staff professionalism, Marriott far outshone Vivanta—all at nearly the same price point. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that I won’t be returning to Vivanta, Shillong. This was my first and will be my last visit to this hotel. ---Prateek Arora

Excellent service, smiling and friendly staff ready to listen and help. Good food. We rate the hotel excellent based on quality, comfort, food and service. Good value for money hotel. Access pass to nearby Ward’s Lake for morning walks, jogging tack and open gym really helped.

We (family- 3 Adults) stayed at this facility for three nights, rooms were good and spacious. Overall stay was very good especially the suite room stay touched my family. Best part was the breakfast, spread was good some of the items especially Dosa and Sambar were authentic, appreciated Chef Ganesh. Memory will stay for a long time. Thank you Vivanta Shillong Team.

rooms and infrastructure not at par with vivanta standards but its staff which make you feel tajness in the hotel. all staff are good but special thanks to Ms Rajshree also would like to mention Ms Fiba Ms Meba and Mr Hilter for making my family stay wonderful. Also in room fruit basket and dryfruits were added delight for my kids
