Holiday Inn Shilin Mingsheng

This is a very old hotel. The door opens with a key, and the peephole is about to fall out. The carpet in the room is gray and feels very old. A small creature secretly crawled out of the cracks in the bathroom. I asked the uncle at the front desk for more bottles of mineral water, but he couldn't get them. The only good thing is that it is close to the Stone Forest Scenic Area, which is only a few minutes' walk away.

The facilities are old and smelly. If we hadn't returned so late from the Stone Forest Scenic Area and finished dinner at 9pm, I definitely wouldn't have stayed here. It was 11pm when I went to bed, and I realized the quilt was damp and couldn't be moved. My child had a rash all over his body. I felt like I hadn't slept all night. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Don't stay here!

We stayed here for the convenience of visiting the Stone Forest Scenic Area the next day, and the discounted room rate was reasonable. Other requirements were unrelated. Bus No. 99 runs from Shilin West Station to the hotel in about 50 minutes, and the bus stop is just across the lobby from the hotel lobby. A taxi from Shilin West Station to the hotel cost 72 yuan, covering 26 kilometers, or 2.7 yuan per kilometer. Taking the bus is recommended.

If you want to stay here when traveling to Shilin, the hotel is in a very good location. It is only about a 5-minute walk to the ticket gate of the scenic area. The parking lot is large and free. But the sanitary conditions are not good. The quilt covers, pillowcases and bed sheets are all washed in a small washing machine on the second floor of the hotel and hung to dry in the hotel restaurant. The standard breakfast is 20 yuan, and there is only a bowl of noodles or a bowl of rice noodles, not even an egg! There is hot water at night, but cold water for washing your face in the morning. There is no socket where the kettle is placed, so the kettle is placed on the ground to boil water.

The room was large, clean, and very quiet at night. However, the birds chirped loudly in the morning, which woke me up early. The location is right in the parking lot of the scenic spot. It is most convenient to go to the scenic spot in the morning.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in since our self-driving trip.
