The staff were wonderful and very attentive which meant the service was great as was the meal, which was very well prepared and delicious…… However, I don’t like sachets of condiments and would prefer salt and pepper grinders and sauces decanted into pots as requested. But aside from this, still a great evening!

Bridget is a very welcoming and warm Manager here at this establishment. We were a group on an anniversary visit to the hotel since working there 40 years ago. Then it was a 24 bedroom hotel. Now it is a 6 bedroom B&B. This only manifested itself on our second night when, after the bar had closed to 'the public' we were declined a further drink as the establishment 'did not have a residents license'. We were obviously disappointed not just with the fact but with the way it was articulated to us. Our room was fine (Room 2), apart from having no hot water at the sink for the entirety of our stay (3 nights), and despite raising it with the housekeeper. The bar is a very welcoming and cosy environment and serves a good selection of well kept, well priced ales. The breakfasts were superb with a wide choice of juices, cereals and an all encompassing 'full English'. Overall, a very satisfying stay with small points needing attention.

Just finished a week in sheringham ended off most nights at the lifeboats a really nice place on the sea front been comeing to the life boats since 2007 so have seen the bad times & they were bad stopped there once still laugh about it with my girlfriend to this day. It had a geat revamp havent stayed in the rooms a bit to pricey for me but never had a bad meal or bad service there, its so nice to sit out side at night & take in the sea & sunsets the staff are great & Bridget the boss is always helpful.

When staying here you must first realise this is a very old building and as such has sloping floors, narrow stairs and creaks. For us this added to the charm but do not expect a modern hotel with lift as you will be disappointed. Our room was tastfully decorated, it was very, very clean and had an extremely comfortable bed, the sea view was fabulous and a full tray of tea/coffee/kettle and biscuits was provided. The breakfast was great, with a full menu - everything from eggs benedict to a loaded hoggie, GREAT!!!! Dinner in the pub was super, there is a good choice of typical pub grub, generous portions, fresh and tasty - we came away full and happy. There was also a singer, not too loud just enough to add to a great atmosphere. All staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay! The only thing that let it down was the bathroom in our room, although very clean and with a great shower, the plaster work was in need of repair, this has led to my 4 stars and not 5. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will stay again soon.

Changing from a pub to a restaurant - drinkers welcome but must take a table. The food was well prepared and very tasty - a limited menu probably helps but some visitors MAY not get too much choice. Very polite staff, but unsure of the contents of some dishes regarding allergy questions.

We enjoyed a beautiful lunch at The Two Lifeboats today, as always the staff are so helpful & polite, My husband enjoyed freshly cooked Seabass & I had Scampi, the service was excellent as always! My husband said the Seabass was one of the best he’s ever had! We come back here time & time again, Top marks from us! Amanda & Alan Dayman (Leicester)

No where does it say table service only. Male member of staff needs further training before he is allowed to work in a little restaurant/bar. I suggest he watches hotel inspector to gain some clue on how to speak to people. Overall very bad experience.

A beautiful location by the seaside. The grilled sea trout was delicious and was more than enough for the 3 of us. Our waiter was very helpful and it was a lovely lunch experience even though we had to move indoors when it started raining. Would love to visit again.
