It is a very nice small hotel with a personal feel to it. Great staff and in a good location for walking and peace and quiet. The food was very good indeed and a good selection of drinks too. Would definitely return.

The only issue was bright lights In the garden all night shining through the curtains. Made it difficult for light sleepers.

A beautiful old hotel in a beautiful location. Lots of charm but looking tired in places.
Be aware that Breakfast is not included as I didn't feel it was transparent and expected it would be at the rate paid.
Some of the staff were really friendly, and welcoming.

The stay was great with very friendly staff and the Dale's grounds are very good, the outside seating are comfortable and great views and can enjoy walks around the Dale's and sheringham park, with sheringham and holt nearby, food was great and tasty

Lovely hotel
Great staff, dog friendly, excellent restaurant. Walk straight from garden into Sherringham Park. Near the coast. Comfy room.
But
Slow wifi, south facing rooms very hot if sunny. Quite busy with lunch/tea visitors on Sunday
Would definitely use again.

I was greatly disappointed, Having seen pictures it quotes of an upgrade I was hopeful, sadly old scratched furniture cannot be an upgrade the only new looking bit was the carpet and curtains. A tiered old corner shower and bathroom with dirty grout on the floor made me want to wear flip-flops in the small corner shower. may I add I paid a premium to get the quoted benefits of a Supreme double, I got a scratched old four-poster bed with a winter duvet in Late humid July, the room was pretty stuffy when I entered so clearly holds the heat. the be and other furniture are pretty outdated and really scratched!! I also booked on behalf of my brother for him a standard double which would mean a double bed. I thought a twin is 2 singles correct? As a fully grown over 6ft man he was presented with 2 singles, when I commented to reception I was told he could have said something and they would have moved him, but that was not really the point I booked in good faith a double. Fawlty Towers could be a good name for The Dales! Sad to place such a bad review but you asked!

Wonderful staff, who went out of their way to make our stay perfect - they succeeded!
This is the most pet-friendly hotel that I have ever experienced, which took away any stress of having our cocker spaniel with us. The room was large and well equipped; the bed was very comfortable; the dinner was excellent (which the staff served especially for us in the gazebo on the lawn outside our room); and the grounds were scenic. We will stay here again.
