Holiday Lodge

I went for a night, on my way to Custer National Cemetary. The gal at the front was very accommodating, when I called and told her I'd be late, and she walked me to my room when I arrived, offered another blanket. The guy (and friends) helped me with Wifi, and was accommodating also. The bath was well supplied, and there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The motel is very dated, old, but learning that they are from Nepal and probably invested all they had in purchasing it from the previous owner, as a business owner, I can appreciate their challenges. The "dated" effects in the room were my only negative. I would stay again, in part because of their attitudes. Good luck, best wishes!

Always leery about staying at budget motels, but this place really surprised me. The owner walked me over to take a look before booking - small but it had everything: fridge; microwave; coffee pot; flatscreen; desk; table with two chairs; queen bed; chest of drawers; two night stands; closet area and separate bathroom! Carpet seemed a bit worn, but clean. Bed was comfortable with clean linens; 4 pillows, towels seem new. The door inside could use some new paint. Window AC functions well. Quiet surroundings. Anyway, you can see that management takes pride in the rooms. Military/senior discount, too! I’d stay again.

On 07/20/2022 the wife and I were on a motorcycle trip to the Black Hills, we decided to stay overnight at the Holiday Lodge Motel because we had stayed there several years ago and thought it was a nice clean, Mom & Pop style motel which had a nice little pool and the rooms were clean, and reminded you of a 1950's style motel. When we arrived, I could tell by looking that the place had slipped in outside appearance due to the buildings needing a fresh paint job, the pool had a closed sign on the gate which the owner stated that they had been cleaning it with chemicals but should be ready in a few hours, we went about 3 hrs later and it was still murky colored so we did not stay long in it. The room was clean but had the basic's the bathroom was very small and the vent fan had the knob broken off and laying nearby, the ceiling in the room had water damage in the past and needed a repaint. The room was reasonably priced but fell short of our expectations from the past, I understand it was under new management since our last stay and like I stated before you could tell it had slipped. We will most likely stay elsewhere in the future when traveling through.

Nice motel, nothing fancy. Pool was a nice option in the afternoons. Good location yet quiet. No house keeping during the stay but that is fine with me. We enjoyed a nice, relaxing stay at this motel.
