We stayed in the Garden Cottage, which was lovely. My only complaint, and it isn't really a complaint, is that people in the garden can look straight into your sitting room, so you don't really have any privacy downstairs. Having said that, it wouldn't stop me from coming back. It is a very peaceful place. The bed was very comfortable and the shower head is huge. Lovely towels and toiletries. A previous reviewer moaned about the breakfast, but I think their comments were unfair. The only bit I agree with is that two eggs is a little stingy. However, the two jars of jam are small, but not miniature – much smaller ones exist. Yes, the butter is cut off a bigger patty, but there's enough. The loaf of bread is a decent size. There was a jug of milk and another of orange juice. There was fruit compote, two unknown flavoured yogurt pots (homemade), two mini boxes of cornflakes, a big jar of rice krispies, and another of muesli. How is that not enough? The folder in the main room is full of useful information – places to eat and visit. Some information on local walks from the cottage would have been nice.
