VON Hotel Wanhé, Shenzhen Nanshan The MixC

The service is just basic, hotel looks relatively new, but hygiene is not very good. For four nights bed sheets weren't changed, only pillowcase. In the bathroom was strong urine smell. Breakfast is ok, mainly Chinese cuisine. Around 20 minutes by metro from the city centre.

First off, on Google Maps, the location isn’t accurate cos well.. it’s China. Better off using Trip.com or Amap for accuracy. Having said that the hotel is not bad. It’s a bit of a walk from Hi-Tech Park Station (Exit D) but the walk is quite a peaceful one. Not a lot of people and not the hustle and bustle you get in Futian. We picked this place primarily because the kid friendly room looked cute and honestly what you see is what you get. Few things though: 1) Reception do not speak English but it’s easy to get by via google translate 2) There is small area by the lifts where you can get coffee, tea and some board games to play throughout the day/night 3) 3/F is where the gym is as well as an outdoor area for kids but the toys / play area is super basic and for much younger kids (I would exercise caution) 4) The room is comfortable and there is a separate bath and toilet. Bed is comfortable as well as pillows but the walls are thin. We could hear people walking outside and kids playing on the street below 5) Lastly breakfast which was buffet was not the best. The selection of choices were not vast and I don’t think anything was fresh except for the noodles which you could ask them to cook for you For the price though - it was good enough. Close proximity to places like Windows of the world, Coastal City, MixC Nanshan, Seaworld and OCT harbour (by cab, which is cheap and convenient).

Very nice decorations, room is perfect in condition, receptionists are extremely helpful and there’s a really cute robot to help us with the room service, will definitely come back again!!
