Location - The hotel is located in an old industrial town, surrounded by factories. The area is far from picturesque, with the constant noise and unsightly views of industrial activity. This is not a suitable location for anyone seeking a peaceful or aesthetically pleasing environment. However, the opening of the new shopping mall should be a welcome relief for future travelers looking for something decent to eat, providing a much-needed option in an otherwise dismal location.
Cleaniness -The rooms were decently clean, and common areas were well-kept and tidy. Housekeeping did a commendable job ensuring a clean and comfortable stay. Much improvements could be made in a few areas, but overall, the cleanliness was acceptable for a New hotel.
Service - The overall service was great, with a special shout-out to Nini, Jensen, and Tom for their exceptional A+++++ service. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuinely friendly attitude made a significant difference, turning my otherwise nightmarish stay into a more manageable experience.
Facilities - I booked this hotel expecting the high standards associated with the Marriott brand. While I was excited about a room on the 28th floor of a new glass building, promising fantastic views, the reality was disappointing. The glass facade surrounding the room caused it to become unbearably hot, despite setting the A/C to 18 degrees Celsius and blasting it at full speed. This issue suggests a significant oversight from management during the renovation process.
One of the most frustrating aspects of my stay was the bathroom shower. Firstly, the water pressure was so low that it barely provided a decent, clean shower experience! Despite changing rooms three times, the water pressure remained the same. The hotel’s engineering department’s excuse that the water pressure set to Marriott’s “specifications” was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. I've stayed in hundreds of hotel in over 39 countries and have never heard such a ridiculous excuse!
Secondly, the marble bench intended for guests to sit and enjoy a spa-like rain shower was poorly designed and excessively small as shown in the photos. I bruised my back so badly on the sharp steel handle when standing up that I alomost slipped on the wet floor ! I wish this had happened in the US so that I could have sued Marriott. Even after such a horrific experience in a supposedly world-class hotel brand, the management did not offer anything to compensate for the inconvenience and discomfort caused. Never staying in this hotel ever again!!!
