Fumanman Huange International Youth Hostel

I would say keep your expectations as low as possible cuz this place acts more like a shared house where workers rent a bed to survive in big city rather than an international youth hostel for travellers. I used it simply for my overnight transit so it was good enough but I wouldn’t want to stay for over 10 hours here due to the toilet conditions. Location was perfectly situated next to Gangxia North train station Exit 9, and it’s underground walk, very smooth with suitcases to the airport line 35 mins ride. Lots of restaurants nearby, very convenient. There’s also no reception so you’ll have to contact the hostel via free call on trips/wechat.

I booked this hostel for 4 days but ended up staying only 1 🙂. The place was extremely dirty and poorly maintained — I couldn’t bear to stay longer. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay.

The location is prime and the entrance is located on the other end of the train station marked by 2 red laterns. There is a security guard who will open the door and only the isolated right lift can get you to 20H as the other 2 lifts need access card for activation. The hostel is cosy and the living room is big. The 2 toilets are easily accessible with no personal amenities provided. There is an additional RMB 2/night air-con fees which is reasonable for a comfortable sleep. Charging port and light is available for every bed and privacy is ensured with curtain. Slipper is also provided for every travellers. Strongly recomended for solo and budget travellers.

If I'm being honest, didn't stay the night because the cleanliness left much to be desired. Female toilet door lock was a chopstick. Room had rubbish at the sill by window. Whole places needed airing. Common room dining table was splattered with food stains.
