The Hotel location wasn't that great at the moment the hotel is surrounded by heavy construction causing Dust and affecting view in every direction this is not as advertised and very unfair considering the price.
Breakfast was terrible so bad we didn't visit on the second day, we were sat at a table that was first with dirty plates and cutlery we had to ask 2 times for it to be cleared and reset. All the food on the hot counter was cold and off poor quality a real surprise as we had visited the Shanghai Shangri la last week and the breakfast was excellent and so were the staf. The staff were also poor not clearing plates away and showing little interest
The swing pool was ok however not clean medical plasters in the pool and floor the reception staff were also unprofessional laughing at me and my mixed child so badly one fell to the ground they got up and ran away laughing I'm still not sure why maybe due to me not being Chinese ??.
The room was clean and the staff professional.
Overall I don't recommend this Shangri la it's badly managed for some reason you can find many better hotels in the Shenzhen area for the money paid.

construction is happening nearby. but not too noisy. Rail in shopping mall is just next to hotel.
swimming pool is great, especially zaccuzi.
afternoon tea set was great, breakfast was nice.
will revisit, after all the construction is over.

It’s my second stay at Shanghai-la Nanshan. Really enjoyed my last stay, so this time I brought my mum with me. She’s stunned by how pretty the hotel interior is, it’s definitely the style she likes. Here, special thanks to Allen and Alice at the front office, they’re totally caring and helpful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay,the room is perfect, and the night view is amazing. I think I’d choose here again for my next family visit. Thanks for everything!
