A definite 5-star recommendation! The hotel's location is superb, just a stone's throw from Taiyuan Street and a short walk from the subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. All your dining and shopping needs are easily met nearby. The hotel service truly deserves full praise. A big thank you to the staff working on the afternoon of August 16th, especially a lady at the front desk – my apologies for not remembering your name. The hotel breakfast offers an incredibly rich and varied spread, with authentic flavors that are both visually appealing and delicious. The gym is spacious, bright, and well-equipped. The room facilities are luxurious. Although they show slight signs of age, this in no way diminishes their luxury or functionality. However, I would suggest the hotel implements a more thorough and regular cleaning schedule for some of the sofa upholstery. Additionally, the room layout could be further optimized. For example, regarding bed placement in family suites: while I understand the current design philosophy, I recommend reconfiguring some rooms to place both the large and small beds in the bedroom, thereby restoring the living room function. Furthermore, the food and service at the Tang Palace restaurant on the 6th floor are also excellent. Beyond a 5-star recommendation – this is my top choice when visiting Shenyang!

I visit Shenyang around this time every year, and I always choose this hotel. The front desk staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. Breakfast is also delicious, and the hotel boasts a lovely, elegant ambiance. The location is fantastic; it's super convenient for Shenyang Station, and you can step right out to go shopping. With a supermarket and a coffee shop conveniently located downstairs, everything you need is right within reach. Highly recommended!

We arrived around noon, and as we had elders and children with us, we planned to quickly park at the hotel entrance and grab a bite. However, we were told parking at the entrance required a fee. Since it was too hot to park outside, we opted for the lobby entrance, which, along with the basement, also charged 10 yuan an hour. We parked for about 75 minutes while we ate and ended up paying 20 yuan. The lobby being on the 10th floor was incredibly inconvenient. The elevators were always crowded and slow, which was really annoying. The restaurant's food was very mediocre. Many guests were constantly sneezing over the food without covering their mouths, which was truly disgusting. I also couldn't understand why a five-star hotel would use plastic cutlery; it was worse than a three-star hotel's restaurant. The bread was also very stale. We stayed in a suite. There was a musty smell when sitting on the sofa, and the hygiene was just average, perhaps due to its age. Many people find it luxurious, but personally, I thought it was tacky. The shower only had an overhead rain shower, with no handheld option, which was very inconvenient for the elderly, though fine for younger people. I also found it quite intrusive that hotel staff came to clean our room so early in the morning. The hotel shares an underground parking lot with the Marriott. If you park on the Marriott side, you have to take the stairs up to the lobby. Plus, the parking lot was crowded and dirty. So, driving here is really inconvenient. Perhaps staying at the Marriott or the nearby Hilton would be better. However, I must acknowledge that the staff were quite good. They were helpful in resolving issues and had excellent attitudes.

Somerset Heping Shenyang Review Fantastic location! Right in the heart of Heping District, with direct access to Metro Line 1. It's just a 5-minute walk to the Taiyuan Street shopping area, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment which was spacious and bright. The separate kitchen came with a full set of utensils, which was incredibly helpful for cooking my own meals during my week-long business trip. The washing machine was also a lifesaver for laundry. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and housekeeping was prompt every day. Breakfast offered a good mix of Western and Chinese options with fresh ingredients. The gym is open 24/7, perfect for fitting in a workout after work. Great value for money – I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Shenyang!

Picked the hotel as we were travelling by train. Just 3 mins from the train station and subway station, making it a very convenient location for commuting. Basic facilities expected of a Ibiz business hotel. Room kind of small but working condition. Breakfast is a bit of a let down on the setting and variety, but the price justified it. You need to climb a few flights of stairs to reach the breakfast area - extra challenging during winter!

The room facilities were good, and the room itself was spacious. I initially booked for two nights, but after seeing it, I liked it so much I extended for another night. They even gave us complimentary breakfast and insisted we leave a good review. On the first night, there was no hot water when I went to shower. I contacted the front desk, and they said they'd send someone to check, but there was still no hot water by the next morning. The second day, we went out, and when we returned to the room at 6 PM, it was exactly as we had left it that morning; housekeeping hadn't come. When I inquired at the front desk, they first asked if we hadn't left the room, then claimed housekeeping had already left for the day and we'd have to wait until tomorrow. After repeatedly asking them to at least clean out the trash, the front desk said their staff would help us with it later. When we returned from dinner, the trash had indeed been cleared, and they generously left four or five disposable dental kits conspicuously placed on the vanity. The bed had also been tidied up, somewhat haphazardly. That second night, there was no hot water again when I went to shower. I contacted the front desk, and they said they'd adjust it and it would be fine in half an hour. I don't understand why the hot water issue reported on the first day wasn't addressed promptly. On the third day, when we returned in the afternoon, the room had finally been cleaned. Overall impression: It's close to Cai Ta Night Market, making it convenient for getting around, and the hotel facilities are decent. Drawbacks: For a government-designated reception unit and a 'President Unit' of some association, the management is chaotic, housekeeping is inadequate, and the service is unenthusiastic, which really dampened my travel mood.

Excellent hotel with attentive service from Daisy. The surrounding area has all the amenities you could ask for, including shopping, dining, and entertainment, and transportation is convenient. The room facilities are great, the internet speed is fast, and there's a good variety of breakfast options, plus free parking. Overall, all the hotel's facilities and services are superb.

Perfect location when you do biz in Hunnan only. In and out from airport very convenient and the river makes it a worthwhile place after a busy day to calm down.
