While the room boasted a pleasing view, it's worth noting that the positioning of the two beds felt a bit distant, which could be improved for a more cohesive family experience. The sliding bathroom door posed a minor inconvenience as it wasn't the easiest to navigate, and I found myself struggling with it at times. Another minor drawback was the absence of shelves or storage options within the shower area, making it a bit challenging to keep our toiletries organized. Despite these minor shortcomings, our overall experience in the family room was positive. The spaciousness and engaging atmosphere certainly outweighed the small inconveniences we encountered. The hotel staff didn't speak any English at all, but they were quite helpful. The room itself wasn't cleaned and there was clearly visible dirt on the carpet, we also got used, dirty and smelly hotel slippers - I asked the staff by using translator to replace it and clean our room because it wasn't cleaned, the promised to do this. They changed our slippers to new ones but the carpet wasn't vacuumed properly again. Apart from that it was fine. Breakfast was nice, rooms are spacious. The check-in and check-out procedure is time consuming because the staff doesn't know English and their procedures are aged - they copied my whole passport with all the previous trips to China and produced a lot of paper in the process for no reason. The check-out was done and we were asked to wait (to check if we used mini bar or something), but no one told us afterwards we can go so we waited for 5 minutes for no reason, I finally asked if we can go and only then the receptionist said yes xD

Free parking is preferred for self-driving tours. This hotel has its own parking lot. There are not many frontages facing the street. There is a backyard. It is very large because the second floor of the hotel is a restaurant. The ground parking lot is considered B1, the front desk is on the first floor, the elevator is not good, and there is no sign, it is inconvenient to take luggage, you can see the outside landscape on the 13th floor. Can't walk to Yuexiu Road Snack Street, but there is Lao Yuan fried rice cakes across the road. The free breakfast is very good, the variety is not small, and there are special delicacy fried noodles.

On the way back to Shanghai during the Spring Festival holiday, I went to Shengzhou to take a break. I chose this hotel, the hotel is in a good location and it is very easy to find. Booked a twin room, there is a twin bed of 1.35 so I chose it. But it is a bit embarrassing for the open bathroom of a family with older children. The hotel's breakfast is OK, there is coffee ☕, but the cup is not enough to be filled in a bowl. And there is no pastry for bread and cakes.
