I highly recommend the "Haimuxuan" B&B on this trip to Gouqi Island! Our stay completely exceeded our expectations and was a real plus! First, let's talk about the restaurant. I wasn't expecting much, but every dish was absolutely delicious! It happened to be a fishing day, so we had crabs fresh from the sea. 🦀 They were cooked to perfection, perfectly fresh and without any fishy smell. My friends were all grabbing them, and even the vegetables were stir-fried to perfection. It felt more authentic than many specialty restaurants on the island, and the value for money was incredible!

My second stay at Haimuxuan was a perfect experience! The owner's hospitality remains undiminished, and this time he even took us to several local haunts, avoiding crowded attractions and making for a truly enjoyable and relaxing stay. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, making it feel like relaxing at a friend's house. I'll definitely stay here again next time, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to fully experience the local culture.

The seafood noodles are a must-try, filled with prawns, scallops, and baby squid. The broth is incredibly delicious, and every bite is incredibly satisfying. The steamed grouper is also incredibly tender, with its original flavor and melt-in-your-mouth flavor. The spicy stir-fried clams are also fantastic, cooked to perfection, the clams are plump, spicy, and satisfying, without a single grain of sand. Even the simple stir-fried seasonal vegetables have a uniquely delicious flavor. The prices are very reasonable, and the value is excellent. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Haimuxuan for three days and was completely satisfied with everything else, but I have to praise their restaurant the most! The steamed pomfret is amazing, the meat as tender as tofu, and sprinkled with scallions and ginger, it's so delicious you'll want to drink all the broth. The salt and pepper mantis shrimp are a must-order every time, with a crispy shell and a subtle numbness in the flesh. I can't stop peeling them. My friends who were traveling with me said it was "even more authentic than the old-fashioned restaurants in the city." Not only the seafood, but even the simple vegetables are delicious. They're said to be grown by local farmers, and they take on a sweet flavor when stir-fried. During my three-day stay, I ate so much that I didn't even want to go out to eat—after all, who can resist a delicious meal in a seaside courtyard, enjoying the breeze? For this food alone, I'll definitely stay here again!

The room was conveniently located near Dawang Beach, and the owner was very welcoming and nice. The seafood was also very fresh, and they even arranged a taxi. If there were no rooms available, they recommended other B&Bs.

The location is convenient, with easy access to taxis and buses, and it's close to the beach. The scenery and food are great, and I'd definitely come back if I had the chance!
