We were all blown away by this historic, magnificently done up grand property overlooking vast water views on Shelter Island. Our daughter felt, better than the Côte d'azur. At every turn we were treated to gorgeously outfitted spaces, terrace, fire places, outdooor pool, restaurant.... and more unvistied. Service was cheerful, attractive and went out of their way. The Wednesday night BBQ was in fact splendid, held across their magnificent lawn overlooking water views. A four piece talented band played just the right Southern kind of early rock, soul music. Dancing became irrestible as night fell.

Beautiful hotel with the cutest rooms. Worst service experience I’ve ever experienced in my life. My husband had a serious allergic reaction after a massage because they used lotion with almond oil and they still charged us the full amount (never asked us about any allergies prior to getting the massage). We had to get up to refill our own water the times we dined there and had to ask three separate times for housekeeping to come before they showed up. If you’re looking for a place that cares about guest experience, this isn’t it.

Whether you're looking to relax by the pool, explore Shelter Island's natural beauty, or simply enjoy a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle, The Pridwin is the ideal destination. I can't recommend it enough & can't wait to return!

Stayed at the Pridwin after a friend recommend visiting during the October fall festival. First time visiting Shelter Island. My wife and two kids took a drive for a quick weekend getaway and we had an absolute blast! The Pridwin had dozens of activities for the kids, everything from Volleyball, soccer, pickleball, pumpkin painting, outdoor movie night, smores etc... Beautiful waterfront property with breathtaking views. We stayed in the two-bedroom cottage which was very spacious, clean and cozy with a fireplace and kitchenet. The staff were all super friendly and engaging. Our kids couldn’t stop talking about booking our next trip back.

My wife and I recently stayed at Sunset Beach and decided to give the restaurant at the Pridwin a try. We started off on a high note, enjoying a drink while taking in the stunning view from the Adirondack chairs—truly a great setting. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The service left much to be desired: the staff seemed unfriendly, lacked menu knowledge, and had poor table-side manners. We felt rushed throughout the meal, and the entire place appeared disorganized. When we asked the manager about the hotel’s history, we received a curt, five-word response. To top it off, our food arrived at the wrong temperature, but we didn’t even bother sending it back. A serious training course seems long overdue.

absolutely incredible property and first class service! amos and elise at front desk could not have made our stay easier and more enjoyable and we've never experienced a hotel GM like Christophe before we checked in on us frequently and who genuinely cares about the guests there having the time of their life!

Went last year so much better then my last visit. Breath taking views, but staff is poorly trained food over priced for the quality. Took long to get a drink and server gave us wrong food.. Hopefully they can take some of our advice. We will try again next year.
