Shelly Beach Holiday Park

My wife & I have stayed here twice now & loved it both times. The cabins close to the beach are the best, they are not expensive & big with a separate bedroom & lounge/kitchen & have everything you need. The location is superb just across from Shelly Beach Surf Club that has a nice cafe downstairs for brekky everyday & on Fri, Sat & Sun upstairs serves food & alcohol which can be consumed on their terrific balcony, it's a cool place for a cold beer of an evening. Also less than a block away is the huge Bateau Bay Bowlo & it has a great bistro serving up delicious meals that are even cheaper if you become a member for a small fee that's worth every cent. It also has $3 schooners all day every day for members. Shelly Beach Golf Course is next door on the other side & it's club offers yet another dining option that we also sampled & enjoyed. The course looks good & carts are available if you want to have a hit. Around 1km up the road is the modern mall Bateau Bay Square & it has everything you need for supplies, snacks or shopping. We also found a great bush walking track called the Wyrrabalong Coastal Walk that begins just south of Shelly Beach & winds up to the lookout over Forresters Beach. It's a decent walk if you go all the way so be prepared but there's some beautiful views so it's worth it. Shelly Beach also has some decent sand dunes to run up for those that are keen for more activity. Eat, swim, surf, drink, sleep, walk, run, sun, golf & eat some more 👌🏻

Great place for a large group of families for a weekend away! Kids can have fun at the pool and slides or riding their bikes around. We have been twice now and will definitely book again! Super friendly staff and well maintained facilities. Cabin has everything you need.

We were visiting family and had to stay close to where they lived. The Resort was excellent in all ways - location, price, staff attentiveness and friendliness, Our cabin was one of the twin ones and was beautifully presented and had the right amenities for a 5 night stay, a short walk to the beach and some fantastic scenery was outstanding and a 10 minute walk to the general store, coffee shops, pizzeria and fish and chippery was very handy. There were families staying and all were friendly too. It also was a blast from the past to see all the permanent weekender caravans on site, brought back childhood memories of holidays away.

Required late check in... 1st, Apon arrival had not received safe code to access key. Nobody answered afterhours number or returned call. 2nd, Lump in main bed pillow that turned out to be a pair of girls underpants with a used sanitary pad attached to it !!... 100% TRUE

We returned to this park for our 8th Christmas family get together. Parts of our family live close by and we congregate here for Christmas Day. The park has great facilities. However, this year turned out to be very disappointing experience. We booked a specific cabin 9 months in advance, went back 2 days before our visit, to take photos for others travelling to organise gazebo's and tables. At this point there was no one in our cabin. We checked in 2 days later and was told there was a maintenance issue with our cabin and they would have to move us, like it or lump it. Although disappointed we took it on the chin. We went to our cabin, walked around the corner and saw that our original cabin had people in it. Confused, we went back to reception for an explanation, the receptionist could not explain why people were in our original cabin and offered a 25% refund for the inconvenience. This was later overruled by the manager. We asked to speak to the owner, they were not authorised to give out his phone number and that he would call us. We received a text to send an email, not from the owner's number. We have sent multiple emails with no communication. There were no managers available on the 24,25,26 and 27th of December. The cabin itself was dated, marks covered the walls, the bathroom was tiny and the bed was hard as a rock. We had to re-wash all of the kitchenware as it was dirty and greasy. We left a day early, as we couldn't sleep on a bed of rock for another night. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill, my advice is give it a miss. There are plenty of other options in the area. P.S. We paid $1400 ($350 per night) for this experience.

We stayed here for one night and had a blast of a time. We enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in a beach front cabin right across the road from Shelly beach, watching sunrise and sunset was the ultimate. The park included a waterpark which both us adults and the children absolutaly loved and enjoyed very much, the waterpark was the main highlight of our stay here at the park. We would gladly book again just for the waterpark. Cabin was nice and neat with bunks for the kids and a queen bed in the room. Ceiling fans aircon fridge with all necessary things to cook and enjoy yourself. Just bring extra towels and your set. Cheap fun short stay for us. Thanks.
