This was my second stay at the Heart of the Village. I was there last winter before the new innkeepers purchased the Inn. The improvements to the property and the customer experience are great. This place had "great bones" before, but Rose and Anatoly have fleshed them out. A fresh coat of ain't does wonders, but so does the thoughtful furniture placement in the lining area and dining area. New plumbing, mattresses and linens have improved the sleep experience. Grandma always said, "A place for everything and everything in its place." New luggage racks and strategic hooks for items definitely helped with that. Breakfast at the Inn was a special experience as Anatoly cooked everything to order. Eggs to order, French Toast with Vermont Maple Syrup, Crustless Quiche were a few of my choices this week. My husband enjoyed a eggs Benedict with salmon as well. And one of the best changes was the coffee. They have upgraded to a quality coffee, and it's hard to keep the pot full when my husband an I are there! All in all, the changes are solid, thoughtful improvements to the inn. Heart of the Village has won my heart.
