KSpace @ the Point

Have stayed here before but much shorter trips, this trip was July 15-24. 2 people, my mother and myself. I was surprised and very disappointed this time by the bad smell in the hallway and an even worse smell in Unit 106, like old cooking smells and perspiration. We stayed 8 nights, I didn't realize you only receive fresh towels after staying 7, but there it was clearly on a card of info left on the table. There is a washer/dryer in the unit so I am guessing you are expected to wash your own towels and sleep on the same sheets until day 7. There was 1 bag for the kitchen trash bin and 1 bag for bathroom bin, clearly not enough. Unusually warm weather in Sheffield which made it very hot in the room. The heat made the smell worse, so I requested a fan. I was told the people above us were ok, not sure if that was to deter me from wanting the fan but I am sure they were much younger and thinner than I am, and that is what I said in my message. 2 women ended up bringing a portable air conditioner while I was out and my elderly mother was there. When I returned the VENT HOSE WAS ON THE FLOOR, the unit was on and the room was a sauna. My mother did not know how to operate it, did not know the vent is to go out the window and neither did these 2 ladies. My mother said she was afraid to touch it so she left it how they did. While outside waiting for an Uber I happened to glance up at the building and I saw vent hoses in more than one window. Like, what? As I said earlier, my stays here have been shorter, and don't get me wrong, the units were always very clean, plus the building is in a great location, very close to the City Centre, restaurants and even a grocery store which is why I come back. There was construction going on but I don't know if that contributed to the smells. For what I was charged per night, I expected a better experience.

My wife and I have just had a weekend at these amazing apartments with 4 other couples and all of us were very impressed with our rooms, they were clean, spacious, comfortable and in a great area for bars/restaurants etc, The whole experience re communications with the staff from booking to leaving was excellent, they were in touch constantly, checking if things were ok and if we needed anything, a couple of nice surprises too which was very welcome, We would all stay here again when we're in Sheffield next and would thoroughly recommend it Do yourselves a favour and stay here if you go to Sheffield
