Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre (Angel Street)

The room we stayed on looks way worse than promoted on pictures. It is old, poorly maintained, and heating does not work. Check-in and out were automated, which was nice. Overall, the hotel is old style and needs renovation.

Good service and nice room

Arrived at 11.30 to check in having paid for early check in (from 11.00) and a twin room. Automatic check in machines not working and no staff on reception. When somebody finally appeared no twin rooms were ready so had to wait until 12.30 before we could check in. Dreadful service

Visiting Sheffield on business, / work Very comfortable, clean bathroom, extra towel would have been welcomed! Wifi good, allowing to view streaming services on laptop! Front desk staff helpful regarding request for a ironing board/iron. Continental breakfast tad lack lustre, choice of cheese and fruit opposed to ubituous bananas or apples

I stayed at this premier inn for several weeks for work reasons, and the hotel is well placed within the city. I parked at a local car park that is not detailed on their webpage (Workhouse Lane Car Park, S3 8PH) that costs £7.85 per 24 hours (payable by cash or app). This car park is located next to the combined court centre, and is a short walk from the hotel - although, up a short incline. The hotel is relatively clean, and the restaurant is lovely. The staff are warm and welcoming, and I’d give the staff a 5* review. The only negative would be the street noise, but this is a minor point. The windows can be sealed to block out the noise, and all rooms have air con.
