Hot water in the shower took a long time to come out

overall the hotel was great..spacious and clean,well organized,minimalist style.the receptionist were very accomodating especially miss eya/eva her name..🤭

I've been to Dubai in a few hotels before and this is definitely not a 5* hotel and not a hotel for vacation, just maybe for a quick business trip. Breakfasts and dinners’ sets are quite limited and it's mostly Arabic cuisine. It was difficult for me to feed my kid. We lived in a standard room and there was a wall of neighbor building almost directly in front of it. The room is always in darkness. The windows, of course cannot be opened and because of this there is always a very specific smell of dampness. I even decided to keep my things in the suitcase/do not unpack it. We tried to change the room several times, but reception guys didn’t help us. It was difficult to adjust the desired temperature of the water in a shower: you need to wait “hot/cold” for quite a long time. The aircon is noisy and works with just one speed and temperature. Thus I would rate our room as 2-3*. Shuttle to the beach is at 9 am and once a day. It's chilly enough at 9am in January, so we couldn’t use it. The hotel's feature is the rooftop pool. But the water in it is cold. So, again couldn’t use it :(
