Caution to foreigners. During my first stay, I encountered a series of bewildering issues. Firstly, the hotel's internal communication seemed to be lost in a labyrinth, leading to a phone call after my reservation, stating uncertainty about accommodating foreign guests and ultimately requesting me to cancel my booking. Seeking assistance from the Travel Company, I navigated through discussions and verifications, only to receive a contradictory assurance from the hotel that foreign guests were indeed welcome. Upon arrival, the front desk manager surprisingly denied our check-in, creating a scene reminiscent of a comedic drama. It took a resolute stance on my part for her to begin processing the check-in, a time-consuming endeavor that left me in a rather disgruntled state for 30 minutes. However, the unsettling surprises didn't end there; the staff's lack of honesty was truly astonishing. Initially reserving a deluxe room, I attempted to utilize my room-upgrade privilege through the travel company, seeking an upgrade to a business suite or other room type. The hotel manager categorically stated that the business suite was unavailable, a claim that vanished into thin air when I later found available business suites on other booking platforms. This lack of integrity left me feeling deceived, thankfully resolved through negotiations with the travel company's customer service, which successfully reinstated my room-upgrade privilege. Breakfast became an unexpected battleground. Despite arriving at 8:50 in the morning, many food options had already been 'captured,' resembling a competitive breakfast marathon. To summarize, the hotel boasts a prime location and satisfactory amenities, yet its service quality falls far short of expectations. For foreign guests, a stay at this establishment may lead to a considerable waste of time and even negatively impact their mood. Consequently, I hesitate to recommend this hotel to fellow travelers, hoping that my experience might provide some assistance.

The hotel is located in the Xixiaolu historical district. The front desk lady, the housekeeper Xiao Wang, and the security uncle are all very enthusiastic in service. The mattress is comfortable, the room has an air purifier, it is clean and tidy, and there is free midnight snack at night. The experience is good. Nearby attractions include Yangming's former residence, the Yellow Wine Museum, and Shaoxing Hotel. It is very comfortable to walk along the river at night and see the night view.

The hotel is not big, but the rooms are very spacious, the public space is not small, and the hardware facilities are not inferior to five-star hotels. The hotel is very new, very design-oriented, and all kinds of small details are well done. The service staff are warm and thoughtful throughout the whole process. The breakfast tastes very good, and the ingredients are cooked delicately and attentively. Free pick-up and drop-off service from the railway station is very considerate! Highly recommended

Traveling with family during the National Day holiday, I looked at a bunch of hotels. All the five-star ones seemed too old, so I ended up choosing Dongyueli, which is more of a guesthouse-style hotel. The location is great; Cangqiao Straight Street is right outside, and it's not far to taxi to other attractions. Most importantly, eating is super convenient! It's surrounded by residential areas, mostly older residents, so it's quite peaceful at night despite being in a lively area. The room I booked was a decent size, clean, and even had a smart speaker for controls. During my stay, the butler and other staff were all very polite. There's a shuttle service for coming and going, and they even offered sweet soup in the evenings. They also gave us a souvenir when we left. I rarely stay in guesthouses, but this was a fantastic experience!

Highly recommended this hotel. The hotel is located in the city centre and convinces to the tourists. The room itself is clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet provides many options including western style and Chinese style, also available for local cuisine. The staffs in charge for the breakfast buffet are friendly and provide very good service. Definitely will be back again.

Stepping into the lobby, the elegant decoration style and enthusiastic staff make you feel warm. The rooms are spacious and bright, with exquisite and comfortable decoration. The bedding is soft and comfortable, allowing you to have a good night's sleep. The facilities in the room are all available and well maintained, giving people the warmth and comfort of home. The hotel's dining is also impressive. The breakfast is rich and varied, whether it is Chinese porridge or Western bread and pastries, they are all fresh and delicious. The restaurant's elegant environment and considerate service make people feel happy while enjoying delicious food. It is worth mentioning that the service attitude of the hotel staff is first-rate. They always greet every guest with a smile and are responsive and attentive to guests' needs. Whether it was the reception staff at the front desk or the room service staff, they all showed extremely high professionalism and enthusiasm, making me feel at home here. My time at Shaoxing Qiyu Taoran Hotel made my impression of this city even better. I highly recommend it to every friend who comes to Shaoxing for travel or business. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The environment is very good, the room is very large, the equipment is very new, and the hotel decoration is also luxurious. I didn't expect to be able to book such a high-end hotel at this price. But the surrounding area is still a new district, so it is very convenient for self-driving tours. Shaoxing is so beautiful, it is right to go to Jiangnan in March.

The hotel is in quite a good location. This Holiday Inn from reception to rooms is a bit run down, and in need of renovation and better room cleaning - I could see stains on furniture. I had stayed in other Holiday Inn hotels and this one looked the poorest. Anyway, was quite happy with breakfast.

It was raining when I got out of the car, and a staff member immediately came over with an umbrella to help me. They even wiped down my wet suitcase. At check-in, the front desk informed me that my room had just been aired out and handed me a bottle of mineral water without any unnecessary pleasantries, which felt very genuine. The room wasn't huge, but it was incredibly tidy, and the bedding felt crisp and dry. The next day, I had an early start, and the restaurant specially packed breakfast for me, even adding an extra boiled egg, saying it would be good to snack on during my journey. Every small detail made me feel comfortable; this kind of practical service experience was extraordinary. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip here.

Just a few minutes' walk takes you to Lu Xun's hometown, where you can retrace his steps. Nearby, the Sunken Garden, commemorating the poignant love story of Lu You and Tang Wan, invites you to immerse yourself in the tenderness of history. Strolling through the nearby Cangqiao Zhijie Historic District, I felt the warmth of Shaoxing's everyday life, brimming with street food and traditional handicraft shops. Furthermore, the hotel is conveniently located just outside the City Square Station on Metro Line 1, making travel incredibly convenient. Entering the lobby, it feels like stepping into an artistic space reminiscent of a Jiangnan water town. The designer skillfully blends Jiangnan elements like blue bricks and black tiles with modern artwork to create a unique atmosphere. The room boasts a minimalist, neo-Chinese style, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Upon entering, the clean, tidy environment is a welcome relief. The bed has the perfect firmness, ensuring a restful sleep. The bathroom is spacious and bright, with separate wet and dry areas. The amenities smell wonderful, and after a shower, I feel completely relaxed. Stepping into the hotel's breakfast room feels like embarking on a culinary journey through Shaoxing. The spacious and bright layout, bathed in natural light, creates a relaxing atmosphere as you dine. The menu is diverse and offers a perfect blend of local specialties and classic favorites. From freshly cooked hot porridge to fluffy bread, fresh fruit, and nutritious eggs, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds, whether you prefer Chinese or Western cuisine. The beverage menu is also extensive, with rich coffee, rich milk, and refreshing juices, ensuring a refreshing morning. The service is also attentive, with staff promptly clearing tables and enthusiastically inquiring about any needs, making for a truly relaxing experience. Breakfast is a rejuvenating start to the day. The hotel's service was also exceptionally attentive. The staff were warm and attentive, and the check-in process was efficient. They also patiently introduced me to nearby attractions and local cuisine. I felt right at home here. My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Shaoxing Yuecheng deepened my love for the city.
