Excellent location in Shaoguan. Next to the largest and newest mall.
Hotel is new with an impressive arrival area.
Breakfast. Good spread with good dim sum. They varied some the dishes ao that longer staying guests would have variety. Staff were pleasant and helpful in the dining hall
Rooms. Nicely designed and quiet. Sheets are of great quality. Safe in room. Slippers provides. Conditioner for hair. Pillows were labeled and 2 firm ones and 2 soft ones provided. The only thing I can complain about is the headboard for the beds. It was visibly dirty.
Amenities: indoor pool which we did not use. Gym with 3 treadmills and 1 elliptical and woke weights machines. Not bad overall but there was no water provided.
Staff at reception: the older lady who served us when we checked in was excellent. She suggested places for us to go and was very enthusiastic about guiding us on top of sorting our check in details. The young male staff who attended to us when we checked out was unbelievably unhelpful and uninterested when we asked about a particular attraction. His answer was just no and don't know. Did not bother to help check with colleagues or make calls. This marred an otherwise good experience at Holiday inn.

All good but the last night, there were two men smoking on the 9th floor which is SUPPOSED TO BE A NON-SMOKING floor. I Hope that Holiday Inn Shaoguan staff must be more strict with regards to the HIGH STANDARDS OF IHG HOTELS. They should live up to their name. Also, the refrigerator was not cold at all inside my room. There was no laundry bag as well and the room smelled stuffy and damped.

A beautifull position right next to a Shopping Plaza ,with a Starbucks ,KFC and Macdonalds.Warm water indoor swimming pool at 28 degrees ,and a Gym and a Sauna ! Excellent Breakfast , eggs,bacon,butter,toast and salmon & cheese.Filter coffee,cappachino and Espresso ! Friendly and helpfull staff and Hotel Manager !

Great stay here. We liked it so much after travelling in China during the Spring festival, we stayed an extra night .
-quiet in the rooms
-comfortable beds
-high quality linens and towels
-fast Internet
-a 15 minutes car ride to both train stations
-surprise fruit gift on forst day (image)
- great servive from all staff, from front desk to room cleaner. Xiao Ming i cafe went to extra effort and was super helpful and thoughtful.
-delicious breakfast with good coffee, french bread and yum dim sum.
All in all we enjoyed some down time here and had a fantastic stay.

Well, what do you expect of Holiday inn ? Exactly same standard wherever you go, here they do deliver it.
Comfy bed, excellent pillow selection, all things works in the room, nice furniture and good lighting.
Front staff very attentive and nice.
Internet runs smoothly.
Plus? Tvb Pearl (HK channel in English ) .
Check in and check out seamless.
You pay the price and it's worth every penny.
