I had a truly rejuvenating stay at 菩树山舍 (Pushu Mountain Lodge). Tucked away in the serene mountains of Shaoguan, this retreat offers a perfect blend of tranquility, nature, and spiritual charm. The surroundings are lush and peaceful—ideal for meditation, reflection, and escaping the city noise.
The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. They even helped arrange vegetarian meals, shared local wisdom, and made sure every guest felt like family. The rooms are clean, beautifully designed with natural materials, and carry a calming energy.

1. One of the floor heaters in the room was broken and there was a squeaking sound when it was turned on; 2. There were bugs on the bathroom towels, so I asked the store clerk to come up and take them away on WeChat; 3. There were sudden power outages twice in a row at night, and the clerk explained that the floor heater and air conditioner in the room tripped at the same time;
4. I didn’t have breakfast. I looked around and found that there were few options.
5. When leaving, I gave two cups of coffee and a small box of snacks as gifts.

A homestay with a very nice design. The room's hardware and soft furnishings are of high quality, and the bedding is comfortable and clean. When winter comes, there is floor heating, which makes it warm but not dry. It is very close to Nanhua Temple, right at the entrance archway intersection.
