Stayed in the couple sea view room. The room itself is very nice! Great view of the Western beach (picture taken from room). Location can be seen as distant compared to some other hotels but its in a nice quiet street with path ways down the hill to the main sea side road. There's a bath tub which was quite nice.
As a non Chinese speaker, there wasn't much of a service to rate, there was no effort made to share what's in the area or tips anything like that - let alone a smile from the receptionist. The room had bits of hair and dust lying around and overall while it was a nice stay I would think there may be better alternatives at this price range.

View is not nice, have tombs next to the hotel, room service is not decent and windows couldn’t close properly and well maintained. Not quite recommend for staying there

I liked the hotel, very nice view from the window. We had a family holiday with a small child, the hotel was quiet, the child slept well. There are many restaurants nearby where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner, or you can order food and drink delivery from Waimai. Walk to the beach for 10 minutes, the beach is large, clean and beautiful. I recommend!

I came to Shanwei for business several times. This time I booked a room at Red Bay for a try. It was already night when I arrived. I took a few photos! I didn't expect a surprise. The next morning, I opened the curtains and saw such a beautiful sea view from the large French windows. It felt pretty good. The first-line sea view is very good. The hygiene is also very good.
