Highly recommend! After a disappointing experience at our previous hotel and struggling to find a suitable place on any travel app, my friend and I decided to book this hotel on the spot. We thought a five-star hotel couldn't be too bad, but the relatively cheap price made us a bit apprehensive. To our surprise, it turned out to be a huge pleasant discovery! Firstly, the hotel's cleanliness was impeccable – the carpets were spotless, and every detail was well-maintained. Secondly, the service was excellent; they even offered us a complimentary local snack (Guozhi) and provided a shuttle service to/from Shantou Station. I must say, hotels with Hong Kong investment truly deliver professional service. For less than 400 RMB, you wouldn't expect much, but the Emperor Hotel made us feel like we deserved the best! The hotel is relatively old, so there aren't many power sockets, which meant we couldn't easily charge our phones by the bed while using them. But that's a minor detail and really a matter of personal preference. Overall, we're extremely satisfied and would definitely return!

A quick 10-minute taxi ride from the station brought me to this bamboo-themed Chao Hotel. The entire journey was incredibly smooth. As a photographer who travels frequently for work and loves to explore, I was genuinely impressed by the hotel's design aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail. 🏨 Design and Ambiance: The hotel masterfully integrates bamboo elements, from the lobby's bamboo art and the corridors' bamboo-patterned walls to the woven bamboo lampshades in the guest rooms. This creates a beautiful blend of Eastern Zen aesthetics and modern simplicity everywhere you look. The atmosphere is tranquil and elegant, perfect for unwinding, and it's incredibly photogenic. 📍 Prime Location: For tourists, the location couldn't be better! It's right next to Zhujiang Road Food Street, meaning authentic beef hotpot, kway teow (rice noodles), and local raw seafood dishes are just a few minutes' walk downstairs – perfect for late-night cravings. Major attractions like Xiao Park and the Old Town are also only about a 20-minute drive away, making it a one-stop hub for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing. 🛏️ Guest Rooms and Hygiene: The room was spacious and bright, with incredibly comfortable bedding and brand-new, complete facilities. What truly stood out was the impeccable cleanliness; I felt completely at ease walking barefoot on the floor. The wet/dry separation in the shower was also very well-done. The hotel offers unique activities: a Hong Tao Guo (a traditional sweet glutinous rice cake) demonstration at 8 PM, lasting about half an hour. Late-night snacks are served from 9:30 PM to 11 PM, including simple congee with side dishes, sweet soup, and kway teow soup. BBQ is available until 1 AM, and they even have regular Teochew Opera performances on weekends! 🌟 Overall Experience: The cleanliness of Shantou city truly exceeded my expectations, and the Chao Hotel undoubtedly enhanced my trip significantly. The staff were friendly and incredibly responsive. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers exceptional value for money. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shantou!

Staffs at the hotel (especially front desk 客服小奕) were really friendly, patience and all ready to help with our queries and requests. Travelling with a group of elderlies were made much easier thanks to them! We really enjoyed our stay there.There is also a Walmart and nice dim sum restaurant 福晋轩酒家(汕头店) nearby :)

This hotel was an unexpected gem, truly one I'd wholeheartedly recommend. The lobby lounge boasts a modern, minimalist, and stylish design. The rooms are spotlessly clean and bright, and the service is exceptionally attentive. As I arrived early, the front desk was able to arrange an early check-in, and the housekeeping staff promptly got the room ready, instantly lifting my spirits after a hot and tiring journey. The breakfast restaurant is spacious and offers a wide variety of options. For the price, this level of quality was truly unexpected, offering great value for money. The location is also excellent, making it convenient to get around. It's very close to Zhujiang Road Food Street, and a quick taxi ride will take you to MixC Mall and Longyan South Road. Overall, it's superb, and I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

The location was not bad, it is literally 10 minutes ride from the Shantou High-Speed Train station. However you may want a ride if you want to visit the 2 main shopping malls in Shantou, it would be nearly 20 minutes walk. We booked a family room, it was large and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was clean and tidy. It is a small hotel so there's much in terms facilities.

The service is very good, the room is relatively large, but it is quite noisy facing the street. . . And my husband ate breakfast and was admitted to the hospital. I don't know what happened to the fried rice. He had abdominal pain and fever after eating two bowls. He went to the emergency room of the hospital for three or four hours but still couldn't be treated.

At that time, I was still muttering to myself that the front hall was really too small and I didn’t know what the room was like! After completing the check-in process, I rushed back to the room to check out the room. The waiter told me what was on the second floor and didn't pay attention, so I missed the second floor! When I came back in the evening, I asked the front desk because I needed to do laundry. [*****] Then! Then I discovered that there was such a treasure hidden in the store! There are books of various ages in the reading area that can be borrowed. My child came down with me. While I was doing laundry, my child had already taken a book to the sofa in the leisure area to read, and they were all educational books and periodicals! The self-service tea bar also has freshly ground coffee machines and scented teas, and is also fully stocked with various snacks! Listening to melodious music, reading a book with snacks in hand, it’s so relaxing! And the area is very large. Those with children can definitely stay here for an afternoon. After all, no matter how big the room is, the children can't help making noises. But in Astor, you can really spend a wonderful afternoon without spending a penny. ! The spinning bike in the fitness area is good, it’s from DHZ. I used to go to a professional gym from this brand! I was originally going to stay in South Australia tomorrow. After comparing the rooms in South Australia with a price of 300+, I thought it would be better to beat them here! Isn't it just the Nan'ao Bridge? The free coffee alone is worth my time to come back and stay here, and it also comes with unlimited refills! So I decisively chose to continue my stay!

The hotel is a new hotel with complete facilities. The gym has not only fitness equipment, but also other entertainment items, which is very good. The room is also very clean and tidy. Not only disposable slippers but also rubber slippers are provided. The staff is also very enthusiastic, which is a plus. Atour is always our first choice for every trip. The ambiance, cleanliness, and service quality are all consistently top-notch. We were two families traveling together, and the thoughtful front desk staff arranged our rooms on the same floor and even upgraded our room types. The family room with a king-size bed was incredibly spacious, providing ample room for our child to play. The bathroom was also very generously sized. It was very quiet with excellent soundproofing, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. A member of our family suffers from severe rhinitis, and the front desk thoughtfully provided an air purifier. The front desk staff also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants – truly authentic, long-standing establishments favored by locals.
