I intended to book their other hotel location that is next to the Shantuo High Speed Railway Station. However, somehow I was booked at this much further location. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood of this Hotel was convenient for food, shopping and other conveniences. Even for a single night's stay. The room was small but adequate for a single night. Staff was polite and helpful but needs to improve their other language skills to eventually serve an international clientele.

It takes around 30 to 40 minutes to get to town from the location. The ceiling had a lot of dust or water-leak stains, which looked very ugly.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Vienna International Hotel (Shantou High-speed Railway Station East Plaza Branch). The hotel manager was helpful in response to my request; she quickly offered concrete solutions to a room change such as a better room. The manager is understanding and she immediately found me a new room that has better views and the room was bigger. She offered a solution that completely resolves the issue and improved my stay to be excellent. This type of response shows appreciation for the manager's efficiency and commitment to the customer satisfaction. I had a great experience with the manager, she was excellent!

Vienna Hotel Shantou is conveniently located and only a short distance from the train station. Overall, Shantou is not as well developed as Shenzhen city. Still, it was a pleasant trip to Nan-Ou, average laid-back island, 107 sqkm, and alot of dried seafood to buy.

Just didn't know why a very small room was assigned to us with a tiny little window only with not enough space for baggage of two. Perhaps we were tested for such unfair arrangement for we were not locals. Fortunately, a better one was arranged after appealing to the staff. Breakfast was not too bad but definitely not a good one. The only good thing was the pick up service from train station. It would be much better if shuttle to train station could also be provided.
