If you are looking for a budget hotel where the staff are friendly with a good breakfast .The website pictures need up dating because when you get there it doesn’t look like that anymore and will be disappointed.Needs a lot of money spent on the outside as well inside to update.We had a room with sea view only the windows were so grubby inside and out and glass needs replacing the net curtains were ripped and cigarette buts on outside window sill .We were on a coach trip and was told this is the first time that they had used this hotel we had evening meals including on our tour. They did put good entertainment on at night The food was good to average but needs someone who can prepare to a better standard or buy better quality food not mostly frozen food but it is a budget hotel cross between Fawlty Towers and rest home

Went on a school trip. The food was so bad we had to get takeaway never go here unless you have to. Beds are terrible and the bat rooms have black mold. Stuff were unkind and forced us to say grace before eating. This hotel would be better suited as old person home

The worst hotel ever. Food garbage. Beds uncomfortable. Room small. Room smelt like catpiss (needed 1 bottle of febreeze per room) Staff had a terrible attitude. Walls and floors hollow so i could hear everything. Water damage. Not to mention they took my 1.50 pound fork from my bag ): Due to this, i would rate this hotel a 0 if i could, never stay here. In fact, i would rather sleep on the pavement. Although the owner was nice.

my daughter went on her residential here and she said the owners were karens. she said the food was alright. something horrible is that there was stains on her bedcovers and there was dust on the window sill. she also said that they wouldn’t let them wear their shoes if they had sand in them but they weren’t even sandy so. thanks for reading.

Arriving at this hotel you can see it dose need updating outside and inside the staff were welcoming and helpful was a quick check in the room itself was ok just needs some paint and fresh curtains the bed we had was nice and comfortable I think it all just needs as other people have said some TLC Breakfast was good plenty of options to choose from we will stay here again Thank you for a pleasant stay

A warm welcome on arrival, all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. However, the staff did appear to be over stretched wearing multiple hats to help out, but this was maybe down to staff shortages on a particular day. We felt uncomfortable overhearing conversations between staff like “You got roped in as well” and “This is a joke” and did make us wonder if they are coping or indeed happy in their jobs. The building is tired and outdated, it’s screaming out for TLC and the owners enthusiasm to modernise it to meet today’s expected standards. The inside decor was shabby and patchy and the outside masonry was crumbling and needs repainting to make Langham Court more appealing (first impressions really do count) Multiple old stuffed teddies in reception and around the building was not professional, they maybe someone’s treasured possessions but I didn’t feel it was the right place for them. Hotel cleanliness was ok although the marked/mouldy rubber bath mat made the room feel dirty and really should have been changed and not left overlooked. The curtains in our room were shabby and not hanging neatly on all of the hooks and the room window didn’t open easily, so we left it shut which made the room stuffy. From the outside, a stained roller blind in a ground floor window was really not appealing. Breakfast was ok and plentiful If you are seeking a first class establishment, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and plump pillows so you feel refreshed the next day, in a modern, well decorated environment, maybe not for you. If you are not fussy and just want a reasonable base for a few days with nice staff, this will be ok. My last comment.. in the guest book it states that this is an old property and I feel the owners are hiding behind this statement in defence of how the building looks but this should be no excuse not to refresh the paintwork inside and out to bring it up to date. Unfortunately it just reminded me of an old people’s home.
