I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. What stood out immediately was how responsive and efficient the team was through the group chat they created for guests. It felt like having a concierge in your pocket—fast, friendly, and always ready to help. One moment that really impressed me: I had sent my laundry in (yes, they offer complimentary laundry service—not just machines, but actual washing and drying done for you!), and I noticed one of my socks was missing. I casually asked about it in the group chat while I was having breakfast near the reception area. To my surprise, I saw a staff member literally sprint off from the reception and return shortly after—with my missing sock in hand! That level of attentiveness was genuinely remarkable. There was a little hiccup when the hotel forgot our advance booking for transport. We were initially told to book our own as their cars were all taken, which left us pretty dissatisfied—especially since it wasn’t a last-minute request. But while I was venting to my friend, one of our butlers overheard us and quietly stepped in. She said she'd help us out—and to our surprise, she personally booked a DiDi ride for us using her own money. We were honestly amazed by that level of care, and it meant so much that we later decided to bring her a little taste of our local delight as a thank-you gift. The hotel also offers complimentary afternoon tea, complete with barista-made coffee and cakes—a perfect treat to enjoy while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. Speaking of which, the view from my room was incredible—lush, open grasslands that made every moment feel peaceful and grounding. They also offer a car service to take you to nearby points of interest, but to be honest, the hotel itself was such a gem that I could have easily stayed in the whole time. Between the view, the service, and the food (the in-house restaurant is also worth mentioning—delicious meals and lovely ambience), I never felt the need to venture far. This hotel nails it when it comes to comfort, hospitality, and thoughtful touches. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly relaxing and memorable stay. Bonus: they have three adorable chowskis roaming around the property, and one of them can even open the lobby door. 🐾 Honestly, that alone made my day. This place is definitely one of my best stays! Amazing view, super friendly and helpful host, great room and the smart toilet even come with a built in bidet (somewhat rare in China). We extended our stay as we really liked the place! The host offered to pick us up and send us back to the railway station for free. Communication is easy via Wechat. She even offered us breakfast throughout our stay (corns milk since the rest of the food is not halal). The place is around 20 mins from Dukezong Ancient Town and railway station, but didi is available. This place is really suitable for those looking to relax while enjoying amazing view overlooking hills, and the famous Napahai Lake. It was our luck that we came here when it was snowy, but this place is beautiful even during other season.

The hotel was beautiful in an excellent location in ShangriLa. The rooms were well appointed and had good heating. Breakfast was good, but note there is only one option available. Unfortunately, perhaps, because it was during the off season, it felt like we were staying in a closed hotel. The hotel had a beautiful bar with nobody working, a nice outdoor area with heat lamps that were never on, and the staff, while friendly, seemed a bit unprepared and surprised at our arrival. We requested help cleaning our laundry and ended up paying an extremely high 288 CNY after being quoted 100 CNY which felt dishonest. All of these problems would have been ok if we paid half of the $160 a night we paid, but at that price point in Yunnan, our expectations for service were high. Perhaps other guests will have better experiences when the property is properly staffed during the main season.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Initially, I planned to stay for just one night, but the wonderful atmosphere convinced me to extend my stay for another night. The host provided a warm and exceptional welcome, making me feel right at home. I was even upgraded to a better room, which made the experience even more delightful. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking vast green meadows and snow-capped mountains. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, including an oxygen machine that made the stay even more comfortable. Traveling was also very convenient as the hotel is not far from the city center and the airport. For anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views, I highly recommend this place!

There are little cuties in the yard, Yangjin, Qianjin, the first, fifteenth and sixth graders. We will miss you... The process of feeding and close contact with the animals is particularly healing. You can sit on the terrace to bask in the sun and watch them play all afternoon. The experience of making tsampa is also very interesting. After tasting the tsampa made by yourself, you can also share it and feed it to the animals. It is so happy. There is a billiards room in the leisure area on the second floor, and there are also some ******* clothes for you to try on. Lying in bed and watching the sun shine on the golden mountains when you wake up, this world is worth it!

There is a really big ranch in the hotel! There are alpacas, lambs, sika deer, horses, and several cute puppies. There are snow-capped mountains outside the room. If you get up early, you can see the golden mountain in the sun. The boss is also very nice and can pick you up at the airport. I will stay here again next time I come. I'll be free for you first, hahaha

Shangri-La Donglixia B&B is definitely the most healing plateau habitat I have ever lived in! From the moment I entered the door, I was conquered by the clean environment. The pure white bedding was fluffy like clouds, the bathroom corners were wiped in real time, and even the floor heating floor seams were dust-free. It was a delight for people with mysophobia. What's more surprising is that the room equipment is super considerate, the humidifier relieves dryness, the smart toilet is warm like spring, and the best thing is that each room is equipped with an oxygen generator! When you have high altitude sickness, you can lie in front of the French window while breathing oxygen, watching the yaks like moving black pearls on the boundless grassland, and the blue sky and white clouds turn into flowing oil paintings in the window frame. This experience is unique. The ”star employee” of the B&B must have a name! This fluffy Alaska, like a dandelion, squats at the gate of the courtyard to greet guests every morning, and the cute look of holding a toy and asking for a touch is heart-warming. When you are tired of playing, you can go to the coffee shop next door - the wooden space is filled with the aroma of freshly ground coffee. The hand-brewed coffee by the proprietress is mellow and smooth, paired with freshly baked desserts. Sitting in front of the panoramic glass window and watching the changing light and shadow on the grassland, you will feel like you are in a Swiss town.

I was lucky to meet Nada Courtyard. When I opened the door in the winter morning, the mountains were covered with snow. It was a New Year surprise in Shambhala. I will visit again next time. The B&B has a cafe and its own large yard. The equipment is complete and perfect, and the hot water floor heating is excellent. I have to say that the bathtub with a large window and a view is really cool🛁, with a wide view. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the room, and it's quiet at night The package includes grassland horseback riding and Zang-style cultural meditation. You must experience it to cleanse and relax your body and mind. The warm reception and travel route guidance of the staff made this trip a lot better.
