A nice large room with windows on two sides, a full on view of the mountains! The bed with pillow top mattress was v comfortable. The restaurant food offered a wide variety of dishes of good quality and modest price. Staff were friendly and helpful and the receptionist checked to make sure we had purchased a bus ticket for our departure to Lijiang on the morning of our departure. We would recommend Tina’s to other travellers

I stayed in a shared room and felt that for the price I paid I got my money’s worth. The amenities were clean and there is running hot water here. The bed was hard, however, and was a little challenging to get comfortable in. That said, the Halfway Inn is a great pit stop if you’re trekking across the Gorge. Friendly staff, delicious food, and incredible views over the Hongba and Yulong Snow Mountains—whether that be from the restaurant or the famous loo!—complete an enjoyable experience at the hostel.

We were given the topmost corner room with a terrace which provides an unblocked view of the mountains with exceptionally fresh air. The room isn't huge and devoid of any noteworthy decorations, it's just a basic room. There are plenty of graffiti on the walls of the premise and while they do give character to the hotel, yet, some look a little unsightly, especially the carelessly scribbled ones.

Very good experience! The rooms are very clean, so are the bathrooms and showers. You can wash your clothes for 8 yuan. The location is good, very near the main entrance of the ancient town. I would definitely come back!

We are from Thailand, we stayed here for 2 nights here. The owner,he picked up us at the gate of old town,he’s kind and helpful to us . I love the warmed-floor in the room. Although we communicated by google translate but he always gave us the answers what I asked😊 if I hv a chance to visit Shangri-la again, I’ll stay here again

We stayed here as our mid-point stop while hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge. The location was easy to find, just about a minute further from the Tea Horse Guesthouse. The hotel is undergoing some renovation so it was a bit tricky for us to find the check-in. We think we accidentally went through the back entrance. Once we managed to check in, the host took us to our room right away. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The hot water worked reliably but note that the bathroom has a wet toilet. The view of the Yulong Mountain from the room is spectacular. There is a restaurant at the hotel but we did not get a chance to try it. Due to the renovations, the rooftop space mentioned in other reviews is also not accessible. We did have tea (free) and coffee (paid) there the next morning before setting out to continue our hike. Overall, the hostess was very sweet and we would recommend staying here! Note: If you speak English, note that the signs are a bit confusing as it is sometimes referred to as Summit Inn but sometimes they use the direct translation from Chinese of Mountain Beauty Inn.

The front desk girl was warm and thoughtful. She upgraded our room for free and carefully explained to us the tour route and important attractions of the ancient city. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the TV was big. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel has a parking lot and you can park for free. The hotel is not far from the ancient city. It takes more than ten minutes to walk there, which is very convenient. Outside the hotel is a small city park with green trees and beautiful environment. It is also nice to walk around here after dinner!

Fantastic homestay on the Leaping Tiger Gorge trail! We started from beautiful Hutiaoxia town and didn't see a single person but a man and his horse until we reached the guest house. Nestled in stunning valley beneath the snow mountain it was an idyllic place to stay. The homestay itself is an old building (currently undergoing additions) in a quiet and peaceful villiage. The a**osphere seemed far nicer than other accommodation we passed later on the trail. The menu was comprehensive and the food was fresh with delicate flavour. The bed was large and comfortable and the linens and bathroom were spotless. We were treated very kindly and we felt very good staying here. Thank you Naxi guest house! :)

The courtyard environment is very good, there is a study on the first floor, snacks and drinks on the terrace on the second floor, and there are Sheniu cats. The boss is very nice, and you can see that he is very dedicated to running the business and treating every guest with care. The inn is located in the center of the ancient city, with food, drink and entertainment around. The boss will help pick up and drop off luggage at the gate of the ancient city.

The room booked for 84 yuan has a spacious and bright environment, clean and hygienic, and the front desk service is very friendly. There is also free laundry and free parking. It is more cost-effective than a room with more than 150-200 yuan. The price-performance ratio is very high ~ Highly recommended to everyone
