The hotel is in an unbeatably beautiful area and only a 20 minute drive to the city. Completely surrounded by beautiful nature, it is a great escape for anyone. The room is huge, it’s not a room, it’s a traditional ******* house. We were blown away by the size, the ******* hot spring in the bathroom and the personal spa room. What is more, the staff are amazing. The restaurant staff were super hardworking and so friendly. They met every request asked. All the staff were amazing!! Definitely stay here if you are coming to Shangri-la.

Wonderful stay. Wonderful hospitality. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a retreat in the mountains surrounded by cows, horses and nature. The photos don’t do this place justice. There’s also a nearby temple. Best if you drive but they also offer free car to and from the airport

On the way to the hotel, one would surely be surprised by such a remote road, but upon arrival, you’d find that this Tibetan-style hotel blends beautifully into its surroundings and exudes a strong sense of cultural charm. I particularly love the sunken staircase design inside the guest rooms. Modern luxury hotels tend to feel similar, but a luxury hotel infused with regional culture is far more worth experiencing.

Team services are excellently their passion,caring friendly,helpful & sincere!Although location a bit far from town but that’s what I seeking for which located on the mountain and avoid all those activities and crowds,it feel so peacefully with the unique Tibet design of the room and been told this is the first Banyan Tree since 20years back. Overall,I had a wonderful stayed and warm hospitality by the resort’s team especially the hotel manager Mr.Yuan袁and the most memorable experienced was I did joined them for the morning Buddha praying and also been arranged to visited and praying at the temple(大宝寺)which near by the resort. Last by not least,much appreciated it did making my last day of Shangrila journey with happy ending and hope sweet home 🙏

What can I say? It's Banyan Tree! The name alone guarantees the quality of the accommodations and everything else. Before I got there, the manager, Grace, told me that there's no pool or gym, so I was a bit disappointed. However, as soon as I got out of the taxi, everything turned out super satisfactory. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and a white sash for good luck, which made me feel so special. Then the staff offered me hot ginger tea (* trust me! this will instantly boost your immune system and keep you warm and hydrated, which is essential in Shangri-la) and cookies. I found the bed to be a little low, but the mattress, pillows and blankets were super comfy and fluffy. I loved them. The bathtub on the lower floor amazed me and made me immediately imagine myself lying there in the Qing Dynasty. Haha. I didn't want to waste water, so I didn't use it though. It was my birthday trip, so the staff offered me special services such as decorating the bed with a Happy Birthday message and a fruit cake. I went to the spa and had dinner at the hotel. Again, wonderful staff and services. Finally, communicating with the staff via Wechat was easy and fast. Thank you Banyan Tree for making my days so memorable. Whenever I have a good experience, I always think of my family. While staying at your resort, I did that A LOT.
