The hotel was beautiful in an excellent location in ShangriLa. The rooms were well appointed and had good heating. Breakfast was good, but note there is only one option available.
Unfortunately, perhaps, because it was during the off season, it felt like we were staying in a closed hotel. The hotel had a beautiful bar with nobody working, a nice outdoor area with heat lamps that were never on, and the staff, while friendly, seemed a bit unprepared and surprised at our arrival. We requested help cleaning our laundry and ended up paying an extremely high 288 CNY after being quoted 100 CNY which felt dishonest.
All of these problems would have been ok if we paid half of the $160 a night we paid, but at that price point in Yunnan, our expectations for service were high. Perhaps other guests will have better experiences when the property is properly staffed during the main season.

This is an amazing hotel in a fabulous location. The manager and staff make sure that all guests are comfortable and taken care of, and everyone went out of their way to help us make our way around the town. The rooms are very comfortable, and the ambiance of the whole place is authentic to the area.

Excellent service, the owner is super friendly and helpful, always trying to assist with guests need and his English is very good so easy to communicate . The location is also very convenient. The hotel has extraordinary common areas, their design is really unique. The rooms are decorated in a traditional Tibetan style. Also the breakfast is very good, various choice of vegetables and fruits together with traditional rice noodles and cakes.

I have never seen such a speechless hotel. They only provided shower gel and conditioner, but no shampoo. I thought the cleaning staff just missed it. You can also use shower gel to wash your hair. I didn’t expect that there was only one toothbrush and two combs? I contacted the housekeeper but didn't get a reply. I called the front desk phone number but no one answered. I called the mobile phone number and hung up immediately. That's awesome. I thought there was no one at the front desk, so I had to order takeout, but when the takeout arrived, I went to the front desk and found that there was someone there? ? ? I asked the front desk person to get a toothbrush but they said they couldn't find it... I really have nothing to say about this service. Even when I got up the next day, the housekeeper still didn't reply a word. What about the 24 hours promised? If you can't do it within 24 hours, you can get the details right. Don't make people uncomfortable by celebrating the New Year.

I don’t trust Ctrip ranked hotels anymore! The leek was cut off properly, and none of the 4 special items were provided! It was not cleaned before check-in (see attached photo) and the breakfast was pretty bad.
