The owner is very friendly. She greeted us when we were arriving and had some snacks and fruit prepared for us. But she doesn't speak English, so it might be a bit difficult to communicate with her. But translation apps work quite well :) She also offers dinner, you can choose one or more side dishes and rice. The vegetables are all home-grown. Breakfast is also available. The only disadvantage: you have to walk up and bit to reach her place, but I definitely think it's worth that. Very cozy and I would definitely recommend it!

Definitely an actual guesthouse experience. Not sure if I would recommend for other solo travelers who don’t speak much Chinese. Was a bit awkward, especially since there were no other guests when I was there. I asked to eat what they were having since I’m only one person and it was confusingly kind of expensive (¥78). Local and fresh though. It is a bit of a walk from the main trail but it’s doable - just be prepared. They offered to drive me down in the morning but I wanted to walk. The view from the balcony and courtyard is absolutely stunning.

We loved this place! It is nestled up at the very top of this village away from the craziness of Halfway, and as soon as you walk in, the lovely homeowner and her husband take care of you as if it were your own home. The beds were cozy, the chats were nice, and the food she cooked for dinner was the best we’ve had in China so far (all the ingredients are grown at home). We would have liked to stay there much longer, but alas the tiger leaping gorge awaits! 谢谢您的热情。 One thing to note is the bathrooms are squatty potties which doesn’t bother us, but just in case you’re not used to it :)

What an incredible experience! My partner and I walked the Tiger Leaping Gorge two-day trek and stayed here on our night on the way. We were greeted with tea, fruit and homemade snacks to enjoy on the terrace with a mind-blowing view of the mountains. We also purchased dinner from the family who cooks everything they grow or make themselves. We had delicious homemade sausage stir fry, stir fried potatoes and mustard greens soup with rice. You can taste that everything is fresh and homemade with love. For breakfast we ordered some rice noodle soup and ******* butter tea. The rooms were very comfortable with all amenities and excellent hot water in the showers. The owners were so kind and helpful, always smiling. Our night here was the highlight of our trip, thank you!

This was an awesome stay. Our host was so lovely and helpful. Even though there was a language barrier, she made it work with translation apps to make us feel welcome.

Beautiful location, just a bit up from halfway house. Best service I ever had. Owner cooked for us and the son gave us very detailed tips for our further travel. We felt very at home, would 100% do again. The room has no bathroom and there is no western toilet, but it is fine

Perfect!!! If you want an authentic experience, this is the place to be! You will be greeted by the genuine smile of the hostess, who will prepare your snack after a long day of hiking. She welcomed us with homemade cake, fruit and tea! We were supposed to stay one night, instead we ended up staying two nights. The family is special. They invited us to have a picnic with them on the second day, but we couldn't, so they left us rice, homemade cake, fruit, tea, and bottles of water on the table. When they came back from the picnic on the late afternoon, they offered us a barbecue with their pork (the best pork I have tasted in my life), potatoes, vegetables, and tea! They took care of us as if we were their own children. They always offered us fruit, tea outside of meals, even before we left they gave us water and fruit. All free, offered from the heart. The rooms are very clean, the bed is really comfortable. The food is delicious, and you will find on the menu only food that comes from them, from the meat they raise to the vegetables they grow.  We came away from this experience with them with a heart full of love!  We have already recommended them to our Italian and French friends!

Absolute fantastic homestay! I felt very welcome, the host and his family took great care of me and made sure I was fully loaded before I took off again. Made delicious food and also did my laundry and booked bustickets for the next day. Very friendly! The place itself gives a very real experience of the lifestyle over there. I slept well. Definitely recommend! 🙂 The place is on the upper side of the village, and therefore very peaceful and with a great(er) view. For those wanting to stay: After the village with the Tea Horse Restaurant it's about an hour hiking. When you leave the dirt road after ~an hour and reach the village of the homestay (at a hairpin curve), you have to turn left (and right again) soon to go to the homestay. Remember to note the name of the homestay in Chinese, as the owner wrote some signs for direction. Once up the road, keep walking. It's on your left hand.

The friendliest guest house you can find at the Tiger Leap Gorge! The accommodation is very nice and clean with warm beds. The hospitality of the landlord is outstanding. They are happy to help with all matters.
