Shangri-La Runjing Muqi B&B

This beautiful inn is located at a perfect spot where you can soak in the beautiful Napa Lake Grasslands. The owner and staff of the inn are very friendly and hospitable, offering free transfers from the train station and lots of tea and good vibes. The owner can also help recommend day trips around the huge Shangri La area if you are lazy to plan in advance!

This is by far the nicest place we’ve stayed in Yunnan. The view is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. The owners are incredibly warm and helpful — we truly appreciated the great service and the meaningful conversations. Thank you for sharing local stories and thoughtful recommendations; it added so much to our experience. Thank you for making us feel home , despite being away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to our friends. A memorable part of our journey!

This Napahai B&B offers an unbeatable view that makes its secluded location a small trade-off. The scenery is breathtaking. Our host was incredibly friendly, arranging free transfers from Shangri-La old town and to the train station. He even negotiated a good deal on horse riding fees 😉. Breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant served great food. Evening entertainment included singing, dancing, and fireworks! Minor wear on the room was barely noticeable. Overall, a 10/10 stay.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff and the owner were incredibly warm and welcoming. It truly makes you feel like being treated as a family. They even organized singing sessions and fireworks to keep us entertained during the night. Plus, complimentary transfers to and from the airport were a great bonus! Overall, it was an excellent experience. I’ll definitely return the next time I visit Shangri-La. We planned our trip to Yunnan quite last minute and luckily managed to book this B&B — and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations! The hosts were so nice, helpful, and friendly, treating us more like family than guests. They even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off, which made everything so convenient. We also had dinner at their restaurant — the food was pretty good too! The highlight was definitely the view from our room: a stunning, scenic view of Napahai that I’ll never forget. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shangri-La. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to come back in the future!

Best hotel ever! It was so quiet that you could barely hear any noise at all at night ! Not even bug noise or animal noise! The room view was spectacular ! You could literally see sunrise on your window ! Super spacious and comfortable bed, oxygen supply was installed within the room, so no worries for lack of oxygen in high elevation . Only cons for the hotel was the water pressure was low a bit and location was far from town. Kinda difficult to get didi taxi during night time.
