Could see the hotel's basically remants of some classy types in the past (the building and bathroom etc.) but not sure re value for money/friendlieness, was given a room on the first floor (cathay gardens, or the low south building) with view completely blocked by walls. Staff in reception/cafeteria all very businesslike. To be fair it might have felt a harsh contrast coz visited after disneyland. Still, would try tower or other nearby hotels if visiting shanghai next time

Stayed for 2 nights with wife. A small chic boutique hotel. Usually stay in big chain hotel but a change of scenery and experience is not a bad idea. The basic room was quite small but I would recommend the larger size room. The staff did great to accommodate all your needs. Simple breakfast which are included in the room rate. Overall the experience was great. The ambience and the surroundings are definitely an awesome IG spot. this is certainly an IG hotel. a 5 minute walk to metro and 10 minute walk to a major mall was a plus.

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

Pure Japanese style, very good living experience, especially the bathtub is relatively large. The hotel provides disposable bathtub covers and milk bubble liquid, which is very hygienic and convenient. Breakfast is a nine-square grid, and coffee and tea are self-service. The hotel has a relatively small front, but the location is excellent. It is only a few minutes walk to Tianzifang and Xintiandi. In Shanghai, where land is at a premium, being able to live in the central area is very helpful for traveling and experiencing the charm of the city.

My favourite hotel in Shanghai. Great location, fair price, nice and clean, and a very solid breakfast spread that changes slightly every day. When my international credit card didn’t work when checking in, they allowed me to just pay the first day upfront with cash, then I paid for the rest of my stay the next day. The starbucks downstairs doesn’t hurt either. My only very small complaint is that the clothes dryers aren’t great, so I resorted to hanging clothes up in my hotel room. Also, another small complaint, the AC only blasted hot air, but it was already hot upstairs. No option to blast cold air, or just regular outside temperature air through the AC system. This was basically solved though by opening the outside windows and front door to let the air pass through. It was still a little hot though. In the summer, I imagine it is the opposite problem, only cold air can be pushed through the AC system, which might not be ideal if there is a freak cold day in the summer.

Great location - a very short walk to the subway station. The room was clean, with fine amenities for a short stay. Check-in was quick and easy, they have a cute robot to deliver waimai etc. to rooms, and they were happy to hold my luggage after check-out. It was too late to finish something, so I planned to stay overnight nearby. It is very close to Dapuqiao subway station and is very easy to find. The environment in the hotel is very good. The front desk staff is warm and friendly. The facilities are very smart. The shower is fully functional and the hot water is very good. Spacious and clean, breakfast is also very delicious. A very good experience!

I like this B&B very much. The projection quality is very good, the high-definition large screen is warm and comfortable overall. There are many green plants and decorative dolls in the room. It is very clean. The two beds are very spacious and the bedding is comfortable and relieves fatigue. The landlord's housekeeper was also very considerate and introduced us to delicious and fun places in the surrounding area. At the entrance of the community is an Internet celebrity coffee shop ops that always has a queue. I really like Caturron Punch. The house is located in the city center. It is very convenient to walk to the Otology Hospital, Zhongshan Hospital, Huashan Hospital, and the Conservatory of Music. The staying experience is great!

My favourite hotel, with friendly staff like Vicky and Shirley. A short walk from my favourite bar, Funkadeli. Next door to the luxurious and beautiful IAPM, and only a 20 minute walk from my favourite Sunday brunch spot, The Bull & Claw. I highly recommend this hotel for couples and solo travellers. Nice comfortable bedrooms with great heating during winter. There is also a nice gym upstairs which I often use. Will definitely stay here again!

It is my first choice of homestay next time I come to Shanghai Located in Lane 19, Yongjia Road, the traffic is very convenient, there are places such as Ruijin Hospital in a few steps, and the scenery is also very good. We went to rest after playing Disney. When we opened the door, we fell in love with this small room. The house is small but the floor height is very high. The space is also very reasonable. Our three good friends sleep comfortably and the room is very clean. The bathroom is very clean and spacious ～ The kitchen is very cute. There are many brunch nearby, luneur is recommended, and there is a bar downstairs, the barber shop Turkish restaurant in Yongpingli, like to eat meat to go!
