We would highly recommend this hotel, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is very stylish and the food is always fresh. Not to mention the comfortable beds. The service was amazing especially from Lyren who works at the front desk. He was very professional, easy goingand always shows her smile. We had such awonderful experience staying here.And also will come back next time!

I enjoyed my stay at Amara. They staff are friendly and the lobby is beautifully decorated for Christmas. I was a bit concerned about the temperature in the room, since it’s a high floor. Also, I was given a room with a conjoined wall / door so the noise level from my neighbors was a bit annoying. But mostly a great place to stay!

This a a cute hotel in a great location if you want to go out in downtown Shanghai, since its surrounded by restaurants and bars. The room is of a good size and although the soundproofing isnt amazing there were no noisy guests on my floor so I slept well and the bed was warm and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and efficient,and there is a nice cafe downstairs. The sink in the bedroom area is a little odd but that is really the only bad thing I can say.

Facilities: There are several lights in the room, which makes the room that is not too bright even less bright. Great location with lots within walking distance, including a great local beer chain. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was simple but tasty. A few things to note: 1. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are not well insulated from sound, both inside and outside. There seemed to be a loose piece of metal outside my room that kept banging from the wind. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. 2. The electrical plugs did not have much current and would not charge my phone. The engineer came to the room and pointed out the USB plug, which worked well. 3. Many of the rooms with windows seem to have frosted windows. This was a bit disappointing and really should be noted in the room information. 4. The shower was great, but the water temperature was sometimes an issue. I am not sure of the problem. Just be careful with the temperature. Overall, a good stay. It is a hotel I will consider in the future.

The hotel itself was good for the price but the shower door didn’t close all the way. The ladies at the front desk were very unprofessional and they didn’t speak English at all! I was so surprised because they listed this hotel in Trip.com. Maybe they need to hire bilingual employees. Also, the walls are too thin so you can hear everything that people say when walking outside or near your room.

My family had stayed for 3 nights on New Year 2023/2024 trip. It was wonderful place to stay with warm hospitality and clean room. Great breakfast line and cooking food station. Noodle dish was my recommend. In door swimming pool was big enough for children and safe with a lifeguard. It was fantastic.

The waiters are attentive and friendly. The hotel facilities are really well-equipped, the mattresses are moderately soft and hard, there are 2 types of pillows, the toilet is electric, there is a small butler, a large TV, the air conditioning is easy to control, free daily necessities are provided at the front desk, and there are night snacks Night (very delicious braised eggs and porridge). At first, on the first night, as soon as I entered the room and turned on all the lights, I felt it was a little dark. Then I turned on the lamp next to the bed and pointed toward the ceiling, and then I felt a little better. The next morning I woke up and heard a lot of children talking outside the window (it was around 8am), and I thought it was coming from a nearby kindergarten. But after getting used to it, I felt like home after staying for a few nights. There is a subway station across the road, which is very convenient. Although there were a lot of sounds nearby during the day, it was quiet at night and I slept well.

A great experience at City Park Hotel. Really friendly and nice staff (Ice! Ice! Baby!), and my room (with the futon) was exactly what I needed: minimal and comfortable. I seriously haven’t ever slept that well in a hotel. Peace to Genghis Cat; I feel honored that he gave me a blink and a few meows. It felt like a rite of passage. I’ll be back!
