Shanghai Hotel. Miss Yang's Garden

Pudong International Airport Area Shanghai|0.21km from Laiyifen
Facilities and room: Moonlo truly lives up to its name to being one of the most instagrammable hotel. The ambiance is as depicted on the site. The tea layout probably came about as the lady boss came from the tea industry before venturing into the hospitality industry. The entire ground is clean and nice. The bed is comfortable. The pillows are nice (One more spongy, one more puffy) Downside is the lighting. There is a switch in the room that shut all lights off to complete darkness. So it might be too dark for some (like the elderly and some children) while too bright for some (like myself ). Would be a plus if they could install some night lights. Being a foreigner, I’m not quite sure how the TV works but it seems there is no signal for the local TV but some episodes on the app based system… so regarding in room entertainment, you might want to consider other options. Service: Throughout my two nights staying at the hotel, the friendliest person would be the lady boss, Miss Yang, who is always there to greet you and meet your needs in the morning. She also recommended some of the must try rides for Disney when we told her we are heading there. The other person that I felt was warm enough to make me feel welcomed yet not too much such that I get deterred (I tend to get deterred if a stranger is too welcoming) was the male reception staff who also drove us back from Disney in the hotel car. (Sorry I didn’t get his name) Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. The wantons are the best and is a must try. The fried noodles (thin kway teow - based on a Singaporean experience) was nice. And I also enjoyed the cakes made for day 2’s breakfast. Location: The hotel is located in a small neighbourhood, a part of a mini mall, with supermarkets nearby ( buy your raincoats there before playing the rapids in Disney). You can also find Lawson , Watson and Starbucks in walking distance. There are also eateries around of different price ranges. Burger King is immediately outside the hotel. Otherwise you can also call for delivery if you’re just too tired to get out. The staff will let the delivery man deliver the food to the room based on your request. It’s an ideal location for Disney if you are looking for a cost saving hotel. Others: When I first booked the place, I didn’t include breakfast/ booked only the room. For that package, they do not offer shuttle to Disney or airport. Based on my understanding ( if I didn’t get the staff wrong) the shuttle to and fro would cost CNY50. Thankfully I do have the option to change to the option with breakfast as I have not past the modification allowance in the the app booking so I changed my package and got the shuttle rides for free ( included).

This is the most surprising hotel I have ever stayed in during my business trip! We got off the plane to the hotel in the middle of the night and were picked up by the hotel bus. The hotel has a first-class environment and a grand appearance. It is worthy of being a famous star-rated hotel chain! The hotel has complete facilities and everything you need. In terms of hygiene, everything is clean, there is an air purification system in the room, and the supplies are all regular brands. The reception service at the front desk is also very good and considerate! The front desk is full of waiting guests in an orderly, warm and considerate manner, and every passenger is taken into consideration. It is really well-trained! Must give a thumbs up! Since I am a Ctrip gold member, I also took the initiative to upgrade to a luxury room for free, which is really warm and considerate. The buffet breakfast is also very rich, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western food in various flavors. The dining environment and hygiene are also very clean, and many foreign guests also eat here. This stay was really a surprise. I will stay here again next time I come here. Highly recommend it!

Good location, near the airport. Laundry service. The dryer doesn't dry well so, if you need to do laundry, make sure you have some time for your clothes to get dry. Nice people. And we'd like to say our special thank you to miss Li. Young lady that helped us a lot and provided us with the best service. Thank you for your help and for coffee early in the morning, that's what we did need that day before our long flight.

We had a wonderful stay at the Elegant Room of this beautiful hotel. Staff were very accommodating to let us have a late check out as our flight was delayed. Pottery activity was really fun too - very friendly staff. There is a nice Japanse restaurant and beautiful One Step Garden café around the vicinity. Overall would highly recommend this hotel.

I worried about timely pick up and the quietness mentioned in other reviews, they were proved wrong. Once I landed, I called the hotel and received clear instructions about the pick up time and location, it went smoothly and so was check in. Front desk was friendly and professional, and the room clean. I did not hear any thing from other rooms and corridor. I definitely would rebook if I fly PVG again.
