Facilities: Has everything you need! No need for kids and seniors to sleep at the airport overnight. At this price, I'd definitely stay here again!

The location is a bit far from the nearest subway station; it took us about 25 minutes by taxi to get there. However, since our flight home was at 8 AM, this was the closest option to Pudong Airport. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus early in the morning to take guests to the airport. Overall, the experience was good. It would have been even more perfect if the lobby manager had smiled a bit more while providing service. 😊

Breakfast started early, which was perfect for my morning flight, and the shuttle departed for the airport right on time, making travel super easy. I'll definitely book here again next time.

Taking an early morning flight from Pudong Airport makes staying at the Shanghai Pudong Airport Hotel the night before an absolute necessity! The South and North wings are equidistant from the departure hall, as they share the same elevators. Do note that for rooms of the same category, the South wing rooms are about 8 square meters larger than those in the North wing. The South wing operates at a quasi-4-star standard, while the North wing is more of an economy hotel, similar to the Motel 168 model. Sometimes, the prices for comparable rooms in the South and North wings aren't that different when booking. Staying in the South wing truly feels like a good choice! My only minor disappointment was that the hotel didn't provide children's slippers.

I initially thought the hotel was within walking distance of the airport, but later found out it required a car. However, the hotel offers a free airport shuttle service, which was very convenient. I didn't have time for breakfast, but the front desk thoughtfully prepared breakfast boxes for guests, which was a nice touch. The hotel isn't very big, and there's only one elevator, which can be a bit inconvenient. However, any minor issues were more than made up for by the front desk staff. Jerry and Snow at the front desk were incredibly helpful during my stay. I was traveling with my child and a lot of luggage, and they saw me struggling, so they helped me with the trolley and my bags, and even had security help me take them to my room – very considerate! There are no shops nearby, and I needed to buy some things, but they patiently helped me with recommendations and even assisted with the purchases since it was difficult for me with a child. On top of that, I forgot a package in a taxi, and they helped me retrieve it and even brought it to my room. I was super touched and felt incredibly cared for. Although I only ever stay in Shanghai for layovers, I will definitely choose this hotel again for all my future transfers.

The property is genuinely pet-friendly, which made traveling with my cat so much easier. The front desk staff Xiaohu were incredibly kind and helpful—I had just arrived and didn’t have a Chinese phone number yet, and she went out of her way to help me order cat litter. That small gesture made a huge difference. The room itself was quiet, clean, and beautifully decorated. I loved that it had a small private yard connected to it—it made the space feel peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. The location is also perfect for travelers, especially those needing quick access to the airport. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!
