Hotels in People's Square Area, Shanghai

The hotel is in an excellent location to explore Shanghai from. I like that it is located off of the main roads so you can experience local Shanghainese life near by. My only issue is that the room was non-smoking but smelled of smoke and the bedding did not smell fresh. The staff were helpful when I needed to coordinate the delivery of a package. I don’t think it’s worth it to book a room with city view because it’s not that nice.

A little negative point is the moquette in the room (I don’t like it) But very clean

Amazing location right on Nanjing pedestrian street. Shopping malls and eateries all within walking distance. Staff are friendly and respectful. We asked for a quiet room and it was sorted out very quickly and we were even able to check in a little earlier. A special thank you to the lovely gentleman Alex at front desk who is professional, helpful and is an absolute star ⭐️ Our room on level 5 though having no view was nice and quiet and as described online. The walls are quite thin so you can sometimes hear people next door/upstairs etc… but not too much to ruin the stay. Breakfast was ok. Lots of Chinese and western options so even a fussy eater will find something to eat. Keep in mind if you are being dropped off/picked up by a taxi, it will be done on the street as there is no off road spot at the front of the hotel. Only one lift to enter the hotel which can be a little crowded. Lobby is on level 4.

Traveling to Shanghai alone, the hotel is in a great location, close to Nanjing East Road and the Bund, and there is a delicious fried dumplings next to the hotel. The hotel also offers free American coffee. Check in was quick and the staff greeted each time with a smile. The room was very clean, tidy and very comfortable. I will choose to stay at the Youli Hotel again if I have the chance to come back to Shanghai

My second time staying at Dayin! Great location, kind and helpful staff, clean room and common areas. I chose a single room as I was staying for longer this time (the shared dorms I stayed in last time were perfect for a shorter stay). The room was small but fit everything I needed including a large suitcase, and had surprisingly good window view!!! I also didn't expect daily cleaning and free water, so that was a great bonus. Extra thanks to Xu Xin!

Got a little surprise upgrade from Iris. They were able to speak in both Mandarin and English, and communicated well. When asked for a ******* number for delivery, they also provided it readily. The hotel might look dated in the lobby, but the interior is very clean and modern looking. I was pleasantly surprised at that. At check out, Morgan was also able to process the check out very fast. The location of the hotel is also situated right beside the popular nanjing walking street. And there is a local products souvenir mall right behind it. Overall, a wonderful stay at the place.

The hotel is clean although it is located in an older part of the town. See photo for nearby building . The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is only 1 lift but the wait for the lift is not too long. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers so got to plan your laundry time carefully. The machine load is high and the washing/drying time is relatively short. The guests have the common understanding that they will remove your clothes once they are done and place them in the baskets provided. Had a pleasant stay at the hotel.

Our stay at Treasury Hotel was exceptional. Staff members Jessica, Kiara, Kelly, and Tina truly went the extra mile, providing warm, attentive service that made us feel valued and comfortable. Their dedication transformed a great stay into an unforgettable experience.

The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, and the room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view. The location was perfect, within walking distance of popular landmarks, making our stay truly enjoyable.

For exploring around Shanghai this Hotel is in a very good location for us, just a short walk to popular places like East Nanjing walking street, the Bund plus Metro Stations, Shopping Malls and local restaurants. We enjoyed our stay here in Shanghai.
