Hotels in People's Square Area, Shanghai

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. Location is superb with easy access to subway station, Nanjing Rd walking street, restaurants, shopping malls, to the Bund & more. We stayed at the family room with breakfast for 3 adults and it was spacious enough for 3. Breakfast spread is very good from western to local - yummy! Our room includes the access to the executive lounge which was very nice - had afternoon and even drinks and snacks there. We enjoyed the gym very much, it was a properly equipped one with a super cute and friendly cat that comes in every now and then to say hello. The best gym mascot every :-)

Great impression,highly recommended Location: Opposite of the People’s Park (Marriage market) :few minutes from People’s Square subway station (line 1,2,8 junction)0transfer to Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Jing’an Temple, Xintiandi 1 transfer to Shanghai Disneyland, 1000 trees :surrounded with many great local restaurants (Lai Laixiaolong, Laokele,New Sukiyaki,Long time ago ,etc) :connected with New World City mall (He tea inside)which has underpass to Nanjing Pedestrian Road Room and Service: Thanks to Judy who fulfill my request 1 Higher floor:25th 2 Near elevators:room01 next to elevators with windows facing the Bund Doorman,reception,housekeeper,maintenance serviceman everyone I met give me the feeling of eager to serve. Congratulations to the management.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful! My booking was having some issues due to room type and description mismatches, the staffs were able to assist professionally and reassign the right room to me. Appreciate for their help! Hotel location is in a small alley, so nothing nearby you can eat or shop. Walking at night could be quiet and dark but it’s generally safe. Walking distance to 新闸路metro station around 5mins and Distance from Nanjing Road（南京东路步行街）is a bit far took around 20mins to walk. Room space is okay, bed is good. (After I got reassigned to the correct room) you can order delivery (外卖）to the hotel. My personal advice is if you want to book this hotel please double check the room description and image (this could be non-accurate).

I had a great experience at Crowne Plaza Shanghai. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything I needed to relax after long days out in the city. The hotel has a classic charm and a peaceful atmosphere that made me feel at home. I also really appreciated the convenient location, close to shops, restaurants, and transport. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others!

I was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service and spotless cleanliness. From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly stood out. What really made the difference was the staff's responsiveness and kindness. Whether it was a simple request or a question about local recommendations, they were always eager to help with a smile. Their robot delivers online food orders and was a hit with my daughter! They even kept my Taobao orders a day in advance of my stay and kept it safe in their storage room. I really appreciated this! We were super close to the Pedestrian street, getting a Didi or taking the subway was also very convenient! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Shanghai!

It was amazing experience for us. We’ve traveled so many places around the world, this hotel was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We only stayed for 3 nights for Christmas, it’s holiday season, everything so beautiful. Great location and services, it was above my expectations except for the foods. When I booked, it didn’t include breakfast, we had to pay extra fees for it. Honestly, it’s okay to try, but not worthy （If you get it free, that’s awesome). Lots of selection, but wasn’t what I expected. It’s pricey, over $500 RMB for 2 one time only. Overall it’s perfect, I would stay there again when I visit Shanghai.

The staff is supernice! They help me upgrade to the window room.The hotel is in prime location. And the room is also super nice and clean. The bed is very good.

very covenient & cozy! although it's a small-sized hotel, the room i stayed is pretty spacious. beside the hotel is family mart and right across is luckin coffee. a 10 mins walk to the nanjing rd as well as metro station. it's a little hard to navigate at first because there are so many exits but! tip: to exit from exit 1, climb the stairs down, walk through the underpass, climb stairs up again, turn right, you will see far east hotel, turn left, once you see luckin the hotel is right across.

Pros - Provides freshly grounded coffee and biscuits at the ground floor. Superb!Rooms are made everyday and super clean. The toiletries provided smells great, esp the white tea hand wash. A good breakfast place was provided nearby and a little bit of walk would bring you to several convenience stalls or even a veggie market. Cons - the bath design somehow makes the entire floor at the WC wet. No hand towels was provided, and only 1 portion was given for the toiletries, ie, one bottle of moisturister. The corridors has numerous ramps which can be dangerous if you are not careful. The lift area still has remants of renovation and raw wood plywood board as walls. The staff weren't attentive when we wanted to check out, they just continued doing their own things until we called out to them that we are checking out. There is no proper ramp for luggage at the entrance, the existing one is steep and almost not usable. Next door is a freight/courier processing plant, so forget about have a safe passageway with your luggage and you will end up walking along the road most of the time. Construction site is happening next door, so a few years from now the roads are going to be dustry, and noisy.

Stayed here with my partner and we loved it! Super clean, felt really safe, and the vibe was just perfect. Would totally come back!
