subway:
Line 2: Subway Exit 1
Line 15: Exit 7.
It's a bit of a walk from the hotel, but it's quick and safe to walk late at night.
front desk:
If you can assist with parcel collection and takeout, the front desk staff will notify you. If you do not have a mainland phone number, the front desk will notify you via WeChat.
This time I asked them to help send the package, and the service was very good!
If you haven't checked in yet, you can send the package here in advance, tell the front desk, and pick up your package from the shelf when you check in.
They make a pot of tea every day, and you can bring a thermos to fill it before going out, so you can drink it when you go out.
Inside the room:
The equipment is very complete, but the disadvantage is that there is no humidifier or air filter or clothes deodorizing spray. When I come back from eating in a restaurant, the clothes are very smelly and they never go away.
People who are sensitive to smell can bring their own
Housekeeping:
Make the bed, replenish water, take off shoes, tissues, change garbage in the room and toilet every day, and change toilet floor mats every day (this is something that many hotels cannot do)
The floor aunts will mop the floor every day, and the room will smell good when you go back at night.
Other facilities:
The gym is 24 hours a day, but I didn't use it, and I don't know about the sauna either.
We arrived early that day and were allowed to check in early. Thank you very much. The facilities are actually very complete and there are no problems with allergies or pillows on the bed to sleep on.
The only problem was that it was very noisy the night I checked in. I didn’t know where construction was going on, and the house would vibrate. From the construction at night to the morning, it was noisy all night long...
Another small disadvantage is that the plug next to the bedside is old-fashioned and can only use USB. The plug in the kitchen is relatively strong.
I'm 15cm tall, so the shower head in the bathroom can only be hung back up. It's awkward to wash my hair and apply shower gel. I wish I could have a shorter shower head hanging next to it so it won't spray onto my face.
The toilet supplies are very fragrant, and I especially liked the pictures. I want to buy the same ones.
If you want to cook your own vegetables, you can take Exit 2 of Line 2. There is a large supermarket there with many vegetables to choose from. The fruits in the underground supermarket at Exit 1 are not delicious.
When I left, the front desk also gave me a small gift. The service here is really worth it!
There are Bawang Tea Ji, Mixue, Starbucks, coffee shops, shopping malls, supermarkets, and Watsons nearby. It is relatively close to Hongqiao Airport, and it is also very convenient to go to Shanghai West Road Railway Station, and it is also very convenient to transfer to Suzhou!

Overall, the room offered excellent value for money. I really liked the charming retro decor – it's clear a lot of care went into the design. Having a smart toilet, a kitchenette, and a washing machine made it feel very well-equipped for longer stays. The breakfast was a definite highlight; it used high-quality ingredients, offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and they even focus on sustainability, which is a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. On the downside, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which was quite strong. We also spotted a few minor cleanliness issues, like dirty windows that made it hard to clearly enjoy the view outside. Lastly, the shower pressure was quite weak.

Always a Pleasure — My Third Stay and Still Loving It!
This was my third time staying at this hotel, and it continues to impress. The location is convenient—just a short walk to the subway station and surrounded by plenty of great local eats. Whether you’re in the mood for street food or something more upscale, it’s all within 15mins walking distance.
🧼 Cleanliness: The cleaning staff are incredibly quick and polite. My room was always spotless, and they were respectful and efficient every single day.
🍽️ Breakfast: The breakfast selection is excellent for the price. The coffee machine serves good americanos and lattes. I also appreciated the daily fruit platters, which added a fresh and thoughtful touch after a long day at work.
💁♀️ Service: Nana (娜娜) and her colleagues’ service was still outstanding. They are attentive, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Their warm demeanor and helpful attitude made a real difference in my stay.

Exceptional Stay at Heyitang Hongqiao
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heyitang Hongqiao, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern design and traditional Chinese aesthetics, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere from the moment you step inside.
Its convenient proximity to the Shanghai subway makes it an ideal base for families and tourists alike. A special bonus was the complimentary city tour offered by the hotel, which included highlights like The Bund and Yu Garden—an unexpected and thoughtful touch that added great value to our stay.
The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and well cared for. Our room was impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with smart features that made everything feel effortless and modern.
Overall, Heyitang Hongqiao offers an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

My parents stayed here while visiting. The location is close to our apartment while being well connected to the rest of the city by the nearby line 10 Yili Station. They had breakfast every morning and enjoyed it each time.

Amazing hotel and probably my favourite hotel by far!
Location: conveniently located next to a metro station (can be a bit of a trek after getting off the metro but there’s a shortcut via the mall next to the hotel that takes you up escalators without having to take the stairs to get up from inside the station). Very close to Yuyuan Rd and a lot of different food options nearby. There’s also a couple of large malls a short walking distance away.
Room & Facilities: personally really loved the interior design and layout of the room. Perfect room size for solo travellers, has all the amenities you need. The bedding and pillows are a huge plus - they are so comfy. The hotel provides two bottles of drinking water, but they tend to top up to four if you’ve used them all up. Four tea bags are also provided. The hairdryer, kettle and iron are nice brands and well kept. Reception will ask if you need toothbrush and toothpaste upon checking in, they are also topped up when housekeeping comes around. The toiletries brand used also smells really nice.
Service: staff are all nice and friendly, very welcoming, no hassles at all.
Only downside (not too much of an inconvenience though depending on personal preference): you need to pick up food deliveries by yourself by heading downstairs - two sets of lifts: one down to the reception and another one down to the entrance lobby.
Didn’t get to try the restaurant or use the fitness room this time around but will definitely be back!!

My mum and I stayed for 6 nights, the deluxe room is spacious and new! But only gripe is the aircon wasn’t as cold. We set it to 16degrees but room temperature shown was constantly at 22degrees, so we slept with no comforter at night else we would wake in the middle of the night in sweat. Could be because of the room size that the aircon isn’t strong enough to provide? Hotel got a technician to check and he checked and insisted that 22degrees is cold enough and left? Not sure about him but we sure weren’t feeling the cold.
Amenities were good and food delivery is sent via a robot. Overall still a good stay, but wouldn’t recommend coming during Summer especially if the aircon issue isn’t fixed.

This is an affordable and quite convenient option for solo travellers or those staying short-term. The room is clean, it’s spacious and generally quiet (at least from outside traffic). The location is pretty central. The water pressure on the shower is excellent, but be careful with the hot water as it can become scalding hot very quickly. The shower can also overflow to the outside so make sure to aim away from the shower door.
It is a 15-20 minute walk from the subway station and as there is currently construction on the way to the station, this path is not the most convenient.
If you are near the elevator it can get quite noisy with guests coming and going, as well as children. Another problem was the shortage of bath towels. We only had one large bath towel and had to go down and request this twice. However all the staff and cleaners are friendly and efficient.

It's been an overall great experience staying at Citadines Songhong Road. Rooms are new and comfy, good location and convenient, though several basic stuff (eg. washing detergent, laundry detergent, utensils etc) have to request from reception instead of available in the rooms.

What surprisingly good value for money this hotel offers! It has a vintage feel, reflecting its old-school Japanese origins, and is equipped with a safe and a mini-fridge. The lighting is individually controllable, a nice change from rooms where it's all on or all off. Power outlets and air conditioning are well-maintained – a much better experience than some newer hotels that might still have chemical odors. There's no concierge, the shower stall is small, and the carpet is a bit worn. However, despite being extremely close to Hongqiao Airport T1, there was absolutely no airplane noise, and the sound insulation was excellent. I surprisingly had a fantastic night's sleep, making it perfect for dealing with jet lag or for a transit stay! On a side note, the shuttle service was clean and punctual.

HHuakaijiumingA newly opened hotel, located on Xianxia Road. There are many restaurants nearby and not far from the subway station. The room is spacious and bright, and the bed is comfortable, which allowed me to have a good sleep. The staff's warm service made me feel warm. The price/performance ratio is also high. I will choose this hotel next time.

PphilipzkThis trendy lifestyle brand is part of the Hyatt portfolio. The hotel boasts an excellent location, with direct access to Exit 8 of Zhongshan Park Metro Station right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. It's also conveniently located next to Dragon Dream Shopping Mall and a vibrant food street, offering a wide variety of cuisines. The hotel's decor is very stylish, and the entrance, with its unique display of hats, is particularly chic. Rooms are also beautifully designed, though it's worth noting that standard room types do not come with a bathtub. The lobby, restaurant, and lounge are all situated on the second floor, while the 7th floor features a gym and an outdoor pool, although the latter was not open during my stay. Service across all departments was consistently warm and attentive.

AAnonymous UserNot a bad location. Short walk to the subway station and plenty of stores nearby. The hotel isn’t the most sanitary - there were mosquitos in the room and a used cotton tip on the floor. For the price, the room was also unexpectedly small but at least there was a window.

GGuest UserThe price-performance ratio is very high. There are many delicious foods around. I ate the old hot pot on the first day. There is also a popular community bakery not far away. You can order takeout from Aldi. I didn't want to go far to queue for butterfly cakes, so I ordered takeout directly. The light food takeout around is also delicious. There is an old-fashioned noodle shop downstairs, which is quite crowded. There is a Lawson convenience store ahead. The customer service replies on WeChat are very fast, but because it is close to the road, there is still a little noise at night, but at this price, don't worry about it~

GGuest UserThe room was clean, the bed was a bit hard, and the staff were very attentive and proactive in helping! It is very convenient to stay near the subway station. I will consider staying here next time. There is also a rest area next to the lobby, where it is very comfortable to order takeout and have a midnight snack!
As it is close to the subway, there is inevitably some noise from the subway. Our room was far away from the door this time, which just reduced the noise impact.
It's a shame there's no elevator, but the staff will help carry your luggage upstairs!

AAngliYou try your best to get close to me and chat with me till late at night every day, but in fact you just want to steal my emoticons. Others are proficient in music, chess, calligraphy and painting, but I am awesome. I fry, stir-fry, steam and deep-fry, and eat everything. Your family is really poor, I said I wanted to go to your house to play, but you said no way. When you talk about reason, you keep talking and tears are streaming down your face. Playing games can really make people younger. Just now I was playing King of Glory, and they all called me an elementary school student. You are all hamburgers, why are you all babies, but I am just a fool. When you talk about reason, you keep talking and tears are streaming down your face. GGuest UserThe atmosphere here is absolutely incredible! I was completely blown away by the hotel's ambiance. The moment you step inside, a subtle, calming scent instantly puts you at ease. The room is so warmly decorated, full of thoughtful touches; even the smallest decorative items show great taste. The location is fantastic! A vibrant commercial district is just downstairs, making it incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. I've already recommended it wholeheartedly to my friends!

GGuest UserMy family came to Shanghai and wanted to stay cheaply, so they booked this place. It is very close to the subway station and in the market. There is a lot of life nearby, many small commodity markets, and the things are cheap. The prices are not high. My family likes it very much. The hotel facilities are a bit old, it should have been opened for a long time.
