Overall, the room offered excellent value for money. I really liked the charming retro decor – it's clear a lot of care went into the design. Having a smart toilet, a kitchenette, and a washing machine made it feel very well-equipped for longer stays. The breakfast was a definite highlight; it used high-quality ingredients, offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and they even focus on sustainability, which is a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. On the downside, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which was quite strong. We also spotted a few minor cleanliness issues, like dirty windows that made it hard to clearly enjoy the view outside. Lastly, the shower pressure was quite weak.

I had a fantastic stay at Citadines Songhong Shanghai and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. One of the standout features for me was the exceptional cleanliness of the entire property—from the lobby to the room, everything was spotless and well-maintained. It gave me real peace of mind and made the stay all the more comfortable. The location is also super convenient, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and shops. Whether you’re in Shanghai for business or leisure, this location puts you in a great spot to get around the city with ease. Another major plus was the in-room washing machine. It made a huge difference, especially for a longer stay. Being able to do laundry right in the room was so convenient and really elevated the experience—it’s these thoughtful amenities that set Citadines apart. All in all, Citadines Songhong exceeded my expectations. Clean, convenient, and comfortable—I’ll definitely be coming back!

The room is hygienic, the environment is quiet, the service is not, and there is no need. It is almost the same for renting a homestay in Hong Kong.

Location was good, staff are friendly, hotel is refurbished. Few robots work extremely hard for our orders and deliveries as well 😂 😂 If anything to improve: maybe need refresher and better air circulation in the lift and along corridor as it has old smell… but in the room is fine. Parcel assortment system needs to be better to locate the parcels.

The room was well-appointed and impeccably clean. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff and manager warmly welcomed me and helped with my luggage. A standout feature is their complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland, the airport, and the high-speed rail station. Exploring on my own was also very convenient, with the subway entrance just a short 400-meter walk away. All in all, I felt completely at ease and comfortable, and the hotel had a very upscale feel. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip!

This Hyatt Centric, the only one in the country, feels more like Hyatt's take on a Moxy. Unless you're a brand collector, I'd suggest skipping it. The location is great, and rooms come with complimentary reusable water pouches. Our standard room was a tiny 20 square meters, leaving barely any space for luggage beside the bed. We also found obvious mold stains below the AC vent and yellow discoloration on the towels. Breakfast options were very limited, and building renovations started promptly at 8 AM every day. There was a doorman/bell staff by the road to assist with arrivals, and the service from both the front desk and restaurant was excellent. In summary: The physical facilities were so disappointing I didn't even want to take pictures. While the service was good, there's still plenty of room for improvement.

I was on a business trip to Shanghai during the Qixi Festival. I've always had a great impression of Hilton hotels from my previous stays abroad – their design, quality control, and hygiene are consistently excellent. So, when I saw this newly opened Hilton in the city center nearby, I immediately booked it. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. As soon as I arrived, the doorman proactively opened the car door and helped with my luggage. The doormen were consistently observant and attentive whenever I entered or exited, providing seamless and unobtrusive service. The lobby had a pleasant fragrance, and the decor had a very 'Shanghai' feel – stylish, grand, and chic, featuring a magnificent spiral staircase and a statue of Venus. Many couples were taking photos in the lobby. I had originally booked a King room, but due to Qixi Festival, the front desk upgraded me to a quieter Twin room on the executive floor, and they also included complimentary breakfast. I had planned to try some local Shanghai breakfast specialties nearby, but I ended up having breakfast at the hotel instead. In addition to the standard Western hotel options, they also offered Shanghai specialties like large wontons, pan-fried dumplings, and savory soy milk. In the morning, there was also a Caucasian chef greeting guests at the entrance, likely from the hotel's Italian restaurant. The breakfast environment was very nice, though it did get a bit crowded sometimes with queues, and the layout for circulation was a bit disorganized. Overall, it was still very good. The room had a very stylish design. It featured a three-way dry/wet separation in the bathroom, and the toilet was a smart toilet with a remote control, which was very convenient. I was pleasantly surprised by the room's layout; where I expected mirrors, there weren't any, and where I didn't expect them, they were placed. This made the entire space feel very open and gave the design a fresh, innovative feel. The window offered city views, and I could see landmarks like Riyueguang Plaza and the Shanghai World Financial Center. It was perfect for watching the clouds drift by and simply unwinding. I made sure to go for a swim, and the pool was also quite good. The hotel's location is excellent, right in a central area. In the evening, I took a stroll to the Wukang Building and walked back along Huashan Road. The entire route was perfect for a city walk. Choosing this hotel for my Shanghai trip was a great decision, and it made my stay very comfortable. Wishing the hotel continued success!

We recently stayed at Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao SOHO and special thanks to Kyrie and all the staffs, everything went well during our stay. The room we stayed was a previlege room with large space we could rest or work as well. We really enjoyed their amazing breakfast every morning. They a lot of options with fresh noodle and fish cakes, eveyday slightly rotation of food which is also nice. At the lobby, there is a coffee machin we could get our cappuccino any time we wanted. The hotel is very close to the metro station, and both side there are big shopping malls. We could move around even at night and felt very safe. We also checked out Skybridge in walking distance which was recommended by hotel. If you walk like 20 mins from hotel, there is Suzhou creek where we went for run one evening. Thank you for making our stay in Shanghai very pleasant and memorable!

subway: Line 2: Subway Exit 1 Line 15: Exit 7. It's a bit of a walk from the hotel, but it's quick and safe to walk late at night. front desk: If you can assist with parcel collection and takeout, the front desk staff will notify you. If you do not have a mainland phone number, the front desk will notify you via WeChat. This time I asked them to help send the package, and the service was very good! If you haven't checked in yet, you can send the package here in advance, tell the front desk, and pick up your package from the shelf when you check in. They make a pot of tea every day, and you can bring a thermos to fill it before going out, so you can drink it when you go out. Inside the room: The equipment is very complete, but the disadvantage is that there is no humidifier or air filter or clothes deodorizing spray. When I come back from eating in a restaurant, the clothes are very smelly and they never go away. People who are sensitive to smell can bring their own Housekeeping: Make the bed, replenish water, take off shoes, tissues, change garbage in the room and toilet every day, and change toilet floor mats every day (this is something that many hotels cannot do) The floor aunts will mop the floor every day, and the room will smell good when you go back at night. Other facilities: The gym is 24 hours a day, but I didn't use it, and I don't know about the sauna either. We arrived early that day and were allowed to check in early. Thank you very much. The facilities are actually very complete and there are no problems with allergies or pillows on the bed to sleep on. The only problem was that it was very noisy the night I checked in. I didn’t know where construction was going on, and the house would vibrate. From the construction at night to the morning, it was noisy all night long... Another small disadvantage is that the plug next to the bedside is old-fashioned and can only use USB. The plug in the kitchen is relatively strong. I'm 15cm tall, so the shower head in the bathroom can only be hung back up. It's awkward to wash my hair and apply shower gel. I wish I could have a shorter shower head hanging next to it so it won't spray onto my face. The toilet supplies are very fragrant, and I especially liked the pictures. I want to buy the same ones. If you want to cook your own vegetables, you can take Exit 2 of Line 2. There is a large supermarket there with many vegetables to choose from. The fruits in the underground supermarket at Exit 1 are not delicious. When I left, the front desk also gave me a small gift. The service here is really worth it! There are Bawang Tea Ji, Mixue, Starbucks, coffee shops, shopping malls, supermarkets, and Watsons nearby. It is relatively close to Hongqiao Airport, and it is also very convenient to go to Shanghai West Road Railway Station, and it is also very convenient to transfer to Suzhou!
