Conrad Shanghai

Nice location just at Nanjing street. Spacious room which hard to find in shanghai. Variety of food and very convenient. There s park nearby where we can go relax in the morning.

Overall, my stay was excellent and exceeded expectations. The only drawback was the initial arrival experience — there was no clear signage for check-in, and staff at the concierge were chatting amongst themselves. We had to approach them before being told check-in was on Level 2. Thankfully, the front desk team more than made up for it. Special thanks to Locke and Skai (hope I got the names right!) — they were warm, professional, and even upgraded us to a suite. I also asked for the Conrad bear (I collect them!) and they kindly sent it to my room, which I truly appreciated. Room service was prompt and efficient. However, the concierge service could be better organized. We only had two parcels and used luggage storage, but the experience felt less polished compared to other Shanghai hotels, which usually impress with their efficiency. Still, I had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Shanghai.

First of all, thank you Rick and Evelyn who were taking care of reception role for their efficiency of service and room upgrading. Both premier suite room & premier twin bed are good with cleanest and full-filled amenities, plus the breakfast extra breakfast given were delicious. Gym is well equipped.Conrad will be my first of choice of my shanghai next visit 👍🏻.

The hotel location was great and very convenient to reach the shops and restaurants on Nanjing Road. The people’s square train station is only 3 min walk away . The hotel also has a big lobby and your car and drive you right up to the hotel . Very convenient if you are traveling with many luggages. Rooms were beautiful decorated and clean. All the service staff were very helpful and efficient . Special comment to manager Mr Mike , Rick and Colin , who went the extra mile to make us feel taken care of . They are the reason why we extended our stay from 3 to 8 nights . Please treasure Mr Mike as he was very attentive to our needs and ensured that our requests are well met. Highly recommended and we will come back again for sure .

We booked a suite on the 61st floor — and while the night view was absolutely beautiful, that’s about the only highlight. The service was seriously lacking. Being on the 61st floor, even just taking the elevator was frustrating — it was consistently slow and overcrowded. There’s also no room delivery allowed for waimai (外卖), so we had to go all the way down ourselves to collect our food — unlike many other hotels in China, even non-starred ones, where delivery to the room is standard. At check-in, we were given no information at all: nothing about the gym, the pool, or even the check-out time. For a hotel at this price point (around €500 per night), this kind of service is unacceptable. The bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable for two people — we kept sinking into the middle during the night. Also, everything in the minibar was chargeable, which felt stingy considering the cost of the stay. For this price, we truly expected more. In China, you can find much better service and comfort elsewhere for far less. Aside from the view, this hotel simply doesn’t deliver.
