We stayed for 2 nights at J Hotel Shanghai Tower for our honeymoon and had an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and made us feel special. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was smooth, and their hospitality set the tone for a memorable stay.
The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of Shanghai from the top of the tower. Our room was modern, elegant, and very comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. Small details, like the welcome touches and attention to cleanliness, made the stay feel luxurious.
Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and dining in such a unique setting made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was also very convenient for sightseeing, and it was easy to get around from the hotel.
Overall, J Hotel Shanghai Tower exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect choice for our honeymoon, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants a mix of luxury, comfort, and unforgettable views.

Truly amazing hotel. Room was incredible and we had a hard time going out as we wanted to stay in as much as possible! Bed was incredible comfortable and room was super quiet.
Staff went above and beyond to help. Especially the concierge Jennifer Ning was very friendly and helped us book our trips.

Disappointing Arrival, Redeemed by Excellent Service !
Our stay began with several issues, the room was not ready at the designated check-in time, the receptionist was notably unfriendly, and the room itself was not properly cleaned with hair from previous guests and even a child’s toothbrush left behind.
We brought these concerns to the attention of the front desk manager, who was courteous, understanding, and highly professional. She kindly offered us a complimentary room upgrade with a stunning view.
Thanks to her intervention, our experience significantly improved, and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our stay. We truly appreciate the manager’s effort in turning an initially negative situation into a positive one and gave us a lovely stay.

We stayed at the hotel on a family trip to explore Shanghai. The hotel is located in the best place in the city, in the tallest skyscraper. The rooms have a fantastic view. The level of service is high. The breakfast is delicious, varied, and very aesthetically decorated. We felt incredibly comfortable in the hotel thanks to the support of Ogulbike Sayalova, who became our assistant in traveling around Shanghai, gave the most valuable recommendations and did everything to make us feel as comfortable as possible in the hotel and in Shanghai. Thanks to the hotel for having a wonderful and sensitive Ogulbike, who speaks Russian, working there.

We had a wonderful time at J hotel for 2 nights. The tour provided by the hotel at 10am and 4pm daily in mandarin is a must go! The English version is at 2pm but by appointment only. Breakfast was splendid too with half ala carte and half buffet style. Views were really nice from the premium stateroom.

We highly recommend the J hotel. Service is perfect. However spa was closed during our stay for renovations.

The hotel is truly exceptional — everything from the service and design to the views and amenities is top-notch. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return.
The only disappointment was our experience at the Jin Yan restaurant. While the interior design is breathtaking and unlike anything we’ve seen before, the food fell short of expectations. The quality simply didn’t justify the high price. We’ve had far better-tasting Chinese cuisine at much simpler places for a fraction of the cost — sometimes five to seven times cheaper.
Still, the hotel overall was outstanding and left a lasting impression.
