Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Baoshan Baoyang Reviews

A staycation needed due to loud neighbors in my district! Simple, clean, mostly quiet, and the decent staff understood some English. The breakfast, which is normally large with many choices at this chain in China, had few options and was put away early if the both mornings of my stay. The location was good, with a mall and shops around, which I enjoyed. Close enough to sightseeing as well. Nice large shower and good toiletries. For the price, I may stay again if need be. A comfortable spot with no frills. As a former manager of IHG in the US, I was neither impressed nor underwhelmed. That said, this could be an exceptional, budget-friendly hotel with just a few minor changes. Either way, I would recommend to anyone one a business trip or that just needs a night or two away with no extras.

2nd round staying in this hotel. I gotta take my hats off to Mr KIMI, the Operations Mgr. He was very helpful, friendly n humble, he went above n beyond his role. He must train his subordinate to be like him. Not answer every Q with " I dont know or go the subway station to check on tpt". This is more so for foreigners like me who cannot speak n read Mandarin well. The other staff is the lady in the restaurant who cleans the table. She was also very helpful. So becos of these 2 personnel, I would rate this hotel 4/5.

locationis not great , you have to carry your own luggage in an out of the hotel with no help, not really a great hotel , breakfast is limited aswell

Very good choice for accommodation in this part of Shanghai, reasonable price. Room well equipped, very clean, helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Good selection of meals for breakfast.

Reception service is satisfied, recommended for the tourism or foreign people due to the reception can speak english as well

Booked another hotel in Baoshan but only discovered they couldn’t take foreigners once I arrived late at night. Holiday in was the next safest choice as I knew that wouldn’t be an issue. Generally what you’d expect of a service a a holiday in. This one conveniently located in a mall.

Nice clean hotel well located in Baoshan area. Would be better if there were more gym equipments.

The hotel location is perfect it situated at a commercial area. However, As we entered the room it was dirty because there was a lot of hair on the floor and sink. On the otherhand the bed was comfortable and toiletries were fullpack. I love the water from the shower it's too perfect for bathing.😊Lastly, the window view was great.

The hotel location is good and nearby a big shopping mall where can find many restaurants but the breakfast menu is not good everyday same menu breakfast is so so the restaurant manager should pay attention on the breakfast.The hotel staff is very cooperative and welcoming.The hotel not provide the comb, vanity kit and other accessories only provide tooth brush and sometimes you have to collect from the reception.

We didn’t enjoy our experience at Holiday Inn Express Baoshan. I always believed that when struggling to choose a hotel, always choose Holiday Inn Express. This hotel really changed my opinion of that. The reception area was on the third floor in a weird location and it looked very unwelcoming. The lifts were tiny with a notice on the first floor saying that the maximum number of people was 4 per lift. That’s absolutely crazy. The lifts also reeked of cigarette smoke, as did the room. The room too was incredibly tiny for the amount that was paid for it. The bathroom was tiny and as depressing as the reception area. Breakfast was without a doubt the most sorry looking thing I have ever seen. There were two western options: toast (from a temperamental toaster) and cereal, and the rest was just very simple Chinese food — congee, fried rice, sweet corn. No one was at the door to welcome us, no one was interested in what room we were in. It was just a come one and all to our pathetic little breakfast. This is supposed to be an international hotel living up to international standards. The Holiday Inn Express in Baoshan, Shanghai really failed to deliver on that.
